Ah new thread. 200 pages per year the last one so congrats to @Spursidol and as @newbie said the other day the best thread on the forum. With the new players and staff guess you were right to start another.

@loaderspurs I dont see McEvoy getting anywhere with us tbh. He was like an old shcool Lennon but nowhere near as good, not that I didnt rate him but compared to our other players I dont think he stands a chance.

Really glad to see the spine? (cant think of a better word) of our u21s team doing well in preseason. For those who didnt a know there was a vid posted of Ceballos from his loan spell in it's thread. Really think he'd do well in the first team.

Seeing how well Ceballos played and Veljkovic along with Carroll just makes my blood boil even more regarding Pritchard. Broken record I know, but been following since just before NextGen started and how he isn't getting a fair crack is beyond me. The aforementioned 3 plus Kane and Bentaleb shone in their respective positions and yet, yet, Pritchard still stood out amongst all of them. He was MOTM against Barca in first leg and helped tear em a new one away. Ceballos was class but AP was just that bit better in the u21s I thought plus he is a freekick specialist. I just dont get why he isn't given a chance along with them. Just seems like the biggest waste.

Anyway on a brighter note I am really hopeful this year (Spurs curse) of the next lot. Too many to name, but I'm going to say the players that I most enjoy watching, who are Harrison, Onomah, Oduwa, KWP and CCW, are going to have good years. Hope I haven't jinxed any.

Looking forward to seeing the new intake and Marcus Edwards in particular. Alongside our new signings and any others we bring in through the trials.

Ceballos did really well against Seattle, after a loan to FC Arouna in the top flight of Portugese football where we heard lttle first hand about him, but when he was playing for Spurs u21's my impression was that he was technically very good with great skills but often limited 'end product' - and I would have rated him as less good than Pritchard, particularly with Pritchard's great(even lethal) free kicks which got him a fair number of goals. However a year or so on......and I think we need to see how Ceballos does after playing in a few pre-season games rather than judging him as good on 45 minutes of play, he could be good enough as 'something' different for the first tieam but we'll see,

I agree that the next group of plyers coming through look very good, both last season's Acdeemy Year 2 (who will play i the u21's next season who are probably the best group for about 5 years) plus the new Acdemy where there are more potential stars.. Not all will make it but its a big group so there will be players who make it through to the first team.

I'm looking forward to a position in another 5 years where we might get 30% to 50% of our squad as being Club trained. Now that would be something !

I think this too. Could get 4 players there playing week in week out, as long as we tell the kids we're not looking at Blackpool's results, just their performances and the grit they show in a difficult situation.
The thing is
Pritchard is at brentford
Luongo is at Swindon(too good for them anyway)
Hall is at Birmingham City(not sure if he would thrive at this level like the above two

Obika is looking like he is off to charlton

Those top 3 could make the move to the championship and hopefully Coulibaly as well as he is a out and out goalscorer and could play the exact role Kevin Philips could. the same potentially for coulthirst. Also who would do a good job would be Veljkovic.

I think you could become our new ITK for youth players with your connections !
You're telling me, I could of been working at spurs, fuck it send my cv next week to donna's email, no harm in trying

I went uni at the same time as Kieran McKenna and share the same friends and graduation iirc
I have mutual friends with and played against Tom Huddlestone
My school teacher is new youth coach, good guy was there when I realised that I couldn't make it in football after clocking 18 seconds in 100m's after two bad knee injuries.
The girl all my friends I should of married:shifty: is cousins with Jamaal Lascelles(though my dad knows his dad)

Who knows who else I know who may be at spurs and or end up there.

With all those sources @A&C will probably promote you to Chief ITK !

I wouldnt mind being allowed to go in the transfer section first:shifty:

I also met John Terry a couple of times(hence my hatred for chelsea, after adoring zola as a kid) and once had a kick about with my mates at the park before Edu joined in, when he playing at arsenal(that was surreal). As well as ITK for Derby and Burton(not very interesting ITK though).

As for ITK, I do know Jamaal thought he was off to spurs before the kuwaiti's joined and kind of ruined our plans 2 years ago. Worth noting that in Nottingham there is alot that isn't right there and that they currently have 3 lawsuits for unpaid debts, there have been chatter of them being broke for a while.

Quite. I remember everyone getting excited after David Galbraith played a blinder in a pre-season game.

Definitely agree with this.

I agree too with harrison but I just have a real soft spot for akindayini. I see him when he was 15 maybe and he tore everyone apart. The first few games I see him and oduwa in I was thinking this is real gold. It might not work out but I think there is more to show from the boy a lot more.

He is part of the re-structuring of the development coaching I spoke about t'other day. Rainfords meant to have unique training techniques. Be interesting to see what they are as a lot of british coaches just do the same things over and over.

I look forward to hearing about the 'unique' training methods.

Where has he used these training methods, any idea ? Hope its not to teach @beats1 to run 100m in 18 seconds !

Any idea what his role is - is he coaching a year group or maybe educating othercoache ion his methods (much as we did when we had a 'skills' coach - Moritz (?) ) ?

Ricardo Moniz. He was a coach of the Coerver method.

Missed the game so was waiting for someone to put the clip up. Finally able to see what everyone's been raving about Ceballos.
Sharp on the turn and dangerous indeed.

I should mention, that i dreamed of having Ledley's fitness levels, yep my knees were gone

Interesting the papers are saying Davies and Rose out. Does anyone think that Fryers is good enough for our back up next season? i never been a fan.

We haven't been linked another left back yet
