The three players who fucked up last night (Soldado, Fazio and Vertonghen) were our three oldest outfield players. A poignant example of age and experience being irrelevant if the mentality and heart isn't there.

I wouldn't question the players heart but their mentality is questionable and I think Townsend went through something similar to soldado, in which he looks like he doesnt know how he fits in and questions himself rather remembering what made him successful in the first place

Just seen a swedish site report that Ruben Lameiras is signing a contract with swedish club Åtvidaberg, dont know if it's a loan contract or permanent deal tho.

Anyone know if we rate him or if we're willing to let him leave?

Ye there was a report that he went on a trial but I don't know too much about it.

We would probably be willing to let him leave though it will leave us very short on wingers however it would give Gerogiou or Azzaoui more of a chance.

He is a skillful player and very decent. He has had some good games, one outstanding one against Arsenal, where he was the best player on the pitch but I doubt he is or will evee be of the required level we want. Put like this I wouldn't lose sleep over losing him much like when we left Stewart leave and if the club really rated him they'd be able to keep him away from a club in Sweden

The actual signature from Lameiras still remains, but it is reported to be a formality.

Very young side as others have said - mix of Academy year 1 and u16 players prompted I suspect by having 2 legs against Chelsea in FAYC in the next 2 weeks.

u16's starting include Tangana, Brown, Duncan Edwards, and Sterling - think all have made one or more appearances each with Marsh (a second appearance and Jack Roles making his first appearanb ce in an u18 squad, so 7 u16's included in total.
