Of course, if we were a club in any more than name Levy would organise a poll of members.

I checked the THST website to see if they had a view. It was last updated in March. Brilliant.

Yet again this shows that the Trust don't really do alot when it comes to getting the supporters views across.

We don't need a petition which anyone online can sign. Levy won't care about that in the same way that the government ignore every half-arsed petition that comes their way.

What is needed is a petition of the members and season ticket holders. People sign their name and include their membership number. That's the only way that Levy and co would realise that the actual fans were against the move.

As I've said I don't agree with the WeareN17 message but it would be a shame if the fans didn't get heard because the people who are supposed to represent them aren't actually doing anything.

It would be a shame if the fans didn't get their feelings across properly. That's a couple of pretty much aborted attempts at a protest and there is a risk that the opponents of the move have left it a bit late.

I don't agree with the WeareN17 policy of 'stay at all costs' but whichever side of the argument you fall on it is important that the fans get heard. If it turns out that 25000+ fans who actually go to the matches week in week out don't want to move then Levy would be rightly criticised for moving us. If the number is more like 5000 then I'm not so sure.

You have read the WeAreN17 website Dan?

Only reason I ask is that they have never stated their policy is "stay at all costs" - they are deeply opposed to moving and would prefer to stay in Tottenham.

I don't think many people would object to that as a starting point, the argument is how far down the line do you go to stay in Tottenham. I don't believe WeAreN17 are that far down the line that it means staying at any cost.

Incidentally has anyone written to the club asking them to explain the costings of the two stadia? I suspect there are plenty of reasons why the club can't explain the full details but it would be interesting to know if anyone has tried.

I would imagine shareholders will get some kind of vote. I have a couple of hundred shares and get forms for votes, such as the share dividend.

There will be a big movement after the decision (if the board's bid gets accepted). At which point, the board will say the NDP is no longer feasible (at all).

The petition explicitly states that signatories would rather stay in the existing WhL than move to Stratford, but the board will try and peel off a majority of support by putting the debate in those terms.

Yes I have looked at the website and I think it does look like a 'stay at all costs' group. I don't think that if someone was able to explain to them that one stadium would be 100m, 200m or 500m cheaper than the NDP that they'd care.

That's fair enough if that's their stance. I admire their passion. I just don't agree with it.

I think we should change our colours to red. Scientific tests have shown sides that wear red to be more succesful. Red is easier to find to the human eye than white, meaning that players will pick out passes better. Huddlestone will do well in the red kit.

If it means a better chance of winning the League, I think we should change our colours to red.

I will be emailing the club, Haringey Council, OPLC, Boris, TfL, Lammy, the Secretary of State for Sport tomorrow evening. If I get a response I will post in the main thread.

If that is indeed their stance, which I would say is completely not the impression I have gained, they would lose a lot of support.

It means fuck all - ENIC own 86% or something of the shares - there is little in legal terms that they cannot do, irrespective of what the other 14% think.

Do you have an address that would be best to use for the club? I've drafted an email but I'm not sure if the 'future plans' email address is still even active.

I was planning on using the future plans email address.

Oh, sorry, I forgot you were of the belief that Tottenham residents should vacate the area on matchdays so you can park where the fuck you like. I do hope it wasn't you that parked his Lexus across my neighbour's driveway a bit before the CPZ came into operation and blocked him in. How that breeze-block ended up in the driver's seat is one of those mysteries that will never be solved, I guess.

Another one for Scully and Mulder eh 57 ?

When the original plan was announced by the time we were to move into the 3/4 completed new stadium its capacity would supposedly be higher than the existing White Hart Lane, so we would never have to operate at a reduced capacity...

OK. My bad, I forgot we could move in to the 3/4 built new stadium while the last section was being built

I just actually want to know now. Where the bloody hell are we going?!

It's dragging on and on - and as much as I understand the "Say No To Stratford" point of view; I'll always "Say Yes To Spurs" wherever they may be.

Somebody tell me where we're going! Ahhhhhhhhhh!

I'm just wondering, what are the arguments in favour of staying in Northumberland?

I'm just wondering, what are the arguments in favour of staying in Northumberland?

1. A new ground can be built there. Any savings or extra earnings from moving to Stratford are either a. illusory, b. would be corporate-based or c. would be taken by the PLC. The new ground would enable us to raise the money to compete with Chelsea and Arsenal.

2. To move would be to betray the local community in Tottenham, an area of great deprivation.

3. To move would be to betray our heritage as a north London club, turning us into a franchise club similar to Arsenal. We would surrender moral authority over Arsenal, and North London would, in no sense, be ours.

4. We would betray the promises made by the Olympic Bid, denying athletics the legacy it deserves.
