Think I'm right in saying Amazon prime are only showing 2 of our games, both in December.

Our away match v Man United on 3/12/19 at 8 p.m

Also our home match v Brighton on boxing day at 3 p.m.

Don't forget that you can get a free one month trial of prime, so if inclined, you could get December for free and then cancel if you feel it's not for you.

I already have amazon prime so it’s a win for me, they’ve apparently only got 20 premier league games in total 10 of which are the Boxing Day games, they are showing all games on that day. So your suggestion is a good one for people who don’t already have prime.

Also you can get your last minute Christmas shopping done with next day delivery and use the amazon affiliate link to help SC (y)

Oh...and in relation to the article.

Too right it's damn expensive, even more annoying when Sky favourites are on all the time.

I long for the day when you can watch your team every week via simply selecting from the on screen guide.

My mate gets the Saturday 3 p.m matches but he has one of those dodgy boxes.

Can certainly see why people acquire them. He pays £90 per annum. Gets all the pay per view stuff for free, all the films, Saturday afternoon premier league, all the Sky and BT programmes.

Of course, not endorsing people getting one, merely pointing out I can see why they do.

Could have 2-3 weekends away for the amount I pay Sky I understand it's my choice, but I'm not so sure that it's value for money anymore.

Costs me £110 a year, all legal.????
@ciderspurs I've got one of those boxes, the app for the footy is totally legal because the stream is not classed as a 'live broadcast' as there is a 1-2min (approx) delay, it's fecking brilliant!!

On that basis I'll have to look into that and see what the deal is. I think my mates is a recordable box, and if I recall correctly, he had to stump up £140.

I know the guy who sold it to him visits once a year to install updates, or at times I think he's able to do it his end.

So time delayed live events are legal...and the rest are not ??

...and of course, watching Sky via one of these boxes is illegal.

It's fucking piss take. If it wasn't or Mrs bloody D being whiter than white I'd have one of those boxes in a heart beat.

What's interesting about this is that this is the first time a 3pm kick off will be shown live and (I think) the first time simultaneous matches will be shown live, let alone the whole day's fixtures.

If the PL are testing the waters, this could be a game changer for fans - what we've always longed for.

It is a piss take but the article is a bit disingenuous.

You can get daily rates on Now TV for the matches you want to see, amazon prime is also a month to month deal so you don't need a full year of it.

I get every single game live and on demand for free.

another benefit of leaving England and living in Australia :)

Even if I didn’t get it for free... the most it would cost is about £10 per month.

It’s going to be annoying when on holiday in the uk that I will actually not be able to watch a couple of games.

Have to look into how much Sky will charge me if I wish to leave mid agreement. Full whack no doubt.

I'm sure I'll have a few questions when the time comes, so will most probably take you up on your offer then. (y)

Does SC still get the wonga if I click the link on my iPad but it opens the Amazon app rather than another browser tab?

It's not legal, the feed you are watching is copyrighted and you are watching from a 3rd party source. Streaming is legal in the UK unless the original material is copywritten and all Premier League matches will be and licensed to certain distributors (SKY, BT, ESPN...whoever).

As for the OP, it's where it will end up. Amazon, YouTube (Google/Alphabet), Facebook are all massive players and if you can get a sub for your team for £10/month HD home and away most people will pay it, especially if like Amazon or Netflix you get access to other services. I suspect SKY and BT will still be offering general football packages and show Yanited v Gooners and City v Scousers which I and many will still watch anyway.

Think I'm right in saying that the football is via an Amazon Prime subscription/free trial. (y)
