Bananas are radioactive so it's kind of a war crime.

Not sure why this is getting funny ratings. Scientists reckon eating around 400 bananas in a single seating could kill you. Say there were 4,000 Spurs fans on Sunday, if 10% had brought bananas, chucked them unpeeled at the Arsenal players and one of them had eaten them all on the way back to the centre circle he could have died.

It's a serious matter.

My grandad threw a sausage roll at the ref when he took me to my first game, and it hit him.

We had to hide for the rest of the match cos he was very very embarrassed about it, I also have never told my mum cos I was sworn to secrecy.

Just a heat of the moment thing, he wasn’t trying to suggest the ref was a pig or anything. I’m not saying throwing stuff is cool, in fact I was told there and then that it was not a good thing to do even tho he did it. Hence the sworn secrecy.

Am I allowed a little chuckle to myself for that memory? In good humour of course.

My wife hates all sport with football her no1 hate said "does anybody believe in todays climate that a person throwing a banana would be doing so as a racist gesture. really. this was an act of someone who got overexcited and threw the banana without thinking" well I make her right and speaking of right it did not take Ian Wright long to jump on the have a pop at spurs bandwagon tosser.
