Anyone else seen/read this ?
It's a quarterly football publication, featuring a very eclectic mixture of football writers from around the world writing about football related issues….err….from around the world.
I downloaded the latest issue dated 05 June 2014, and have read articles about a chance encounter between an East German footballer and a West German politician before the wall came down, a fascinating article comparing tiki take football to Lennox Lewis's boxing career, a article about the oscillating style of Argentinian football, Marcelo Lippi's penchant for using chess analogies in his approach to tactics, an in depth exposé of the historical corruption within Brazilian football and it's links to FIFA corruption, an article on David Luiz with some mildly interesting insight, and article about the new multi cultural issues effecting the rise of the Swiss national team, an article on Algeria manager Vahid Halihodzic, an article about the young life of RVP (it's actually a good read).
Stuff I've yet to read include in this issue:
An article about North Korean football team, one about Cameroon in 1990, El Salvador 1982, an article by Jonathan Wilson on the 1954 world cup semi final between Hungary and Uruguay and a few more.
