Thought Derby were terrible to be honest but winning when not playing great can be a good thing.

Nice one. Derby and Stoke are my two promotion tips this season, Stoke probably have the best squad and Derby have brought in some great talent in the likes of Mount and Wilson.

Should we make this a general Football League thread? Might gain some more traction if it were.

Looking forward to the televised game later. Although in regards to Swansea, I've only really heard about players who have left the club, have they brought in any good talent?

Not a lot. Celina, a winger from City who excelled for Ipswich last season, young striker Asoro from Sunderland and McKay from Forest are the only ins on Transfermarkt.

They don't have an awful squad but I don't see them coming straight back up.

Hmm yeah, doesn't sound like they've recruited greatly, especially when you compare there business to say, that of Stoke's. Will be interesting to see how they look later today.

Is it me or does no one in the championship really stand out this year? I mean, I could see quite a few of the favoured teams....be in a relagation battle. Forest for example, they always start the season well then drop off a cliff.

What's the little logo next to the players names on their shirts?

If we are including the Conference ( thanks @TheChosenOne ) the Bees should have spanked Aldershot today. Massively missed Big John but things are looking bright if they play like that and get a goal scorer. I paid for the monthly commentary. It is two blokes, at the match, talking down a mobile phone. Quality.

This Bielsa interview is fucking awkward.

Haven't seen the interview but their performance on the field was quite impressive & promising.
Lots of high energy both on & off the ball. Created quite a few scoring chances.
Stoke had no answer.

Really enjoying the ending to this game (Forrest vs WBA), very entertaining!

I know its early doors, but after watching Villa and Hull the other night, I can't see either challenging for top six, both were poor

Always pleases me to see QPR floundering.

There is a member of my family who is a QPR fan. I would not piss on her if she was on fire.

How dare you dude

I have such a soft spot for QPR. Grew up round the corner from the stadium and went to a whole heap of games with my dad... its a shame the way they are now because they were a great club with good players in the past

Should never have sacked Holloway

When I worked for my Dad's building firm we did loads of work at Loftus Rd back in the 1970's and early 1980's
Painting the stands, doing the satnctions stanchions on the terracing and loads of other stuff. I spent a lot of time there back then. The times of Gerry Francis (his Dad was there then too) Stan Bowles, Clement and Phil Parkes,
He had a season ticket which was seated behind the directors box and when we played them in the 1982 final and replay I was able to obtain as many tickets as I wanted for all my friends at face value - in the Spurs end !
