So VAR had a look, did the ref listen, or has he lost it and stuck with his initial call

Won’t be surprised if there’s at least one more sending off in this match.

Most likely stuck to his original decision, if he didn't, he would have lost any control he had of the game. VAR would definitely have corrected his decision.

Argentina have had some shocking refereeing decisions in their last 2 games.

I think we are seeing the problem with VAR or more so the decision making in this competition and the women’s World Cup.
Completely different results in certain incidents.

I think the problem is the standard of referees. I know we criticise our lot, but they are competent. The referees you see in South America are truly shocking.

It’s weird though because the hench Argentinian guy who did the World Cup final is the best in the world imo

Foyth seems to be getting v good reviews for his performances at RB including today.
Would we really be worse off this season with Foyth, KWP and maybe Stevie Sessengnon as our RB's when compared to Trippier and Aurier last year?

I was at the game, here's my thoughts on Foyth...

Foyth was very disciplined defensively and was impressive. A few moments where he overran the ball or took a heavy touch which put him in trouble, once he cuts thaf out we'll have a he'll of a player. Another interesting thing was at the end of the game when all the players were talking to each other, Foyth spent that time talking to a coach and a guy in a suit (Argie rep) which I think highlights his maturity and willingness to improve.

He was sooo good

For the first 10 i was trying to work out who lo celso was and i was watching this guy.

His defensive work is top class, pressing and constant looking round to check his positioning.

He reminds me of dele but better, we probably don't have a chance but I would love it if he came to spurs.

Messi didn’t do anything just puffed his chest to absorb the blows

Mendel is insane

There is an angle from behind the goal which shows messi starting the whole thing with a shoulder straight to the face accompanied with some verbal.
