Was going to take the day off and flick between SSN and the cricket.
Glad I didn’t, work was probably more fun

Trust me, with no transfers, no cricket, and the PGA golf major on Eleven Sports UK, buffering on Facebook for Hod's sake, you were better off.

Anderson really is one of the all time greats in these conditions. Just need to get back out there and knock them over before the sun comes out!.
Not looking good for Stokes in that court case - with the homophobia allegations as well as the GBH he will need a good legal representation to get him off a custodial sentence.

Yep, not going well for him so far and he could well be in real trouble. The testimonies of the two men are going to be the key ones though.

As for what's happening on the pitch, great start. Lethal conditions for Jimmy to go about his work, and a nice bonus run out.

I can't see him going to prison for it. He's getting done for affray not gbh and its in a magistrates court so the max he could get would be 6 months. With no previous convictions i reckon he'll be looking at community service and a hefty fine.

Disclaimer: i don't work in law so could be talking complete shite!

Good to see us bring in Pope but why the hell would you stick him in at no4

Averages 85 for Surrey in 10 Championship games batting at No6

Its a big enough step pushing him up to 4 for Surrey, the step up to 4 at Test Level is massive

Hopefully he gets a bit of luck and scores runs but doesnt look like we are helping the youngster one little bit

It's because the way things are currently going we're only going to need 4 batsmen, and it's good to let him have a go.

:cautious:

Only just seen the run out. Almost Boycott like self preservation from Kohli there!.
A cool head shown by Pope to just calmly trot in and take the bails off - looking forward to seeing this lad bat when hopefully the weather clears in the next few days..........

Kohli great batsman that he is does seem to have a fair amount of luck.
He has played and missed a hell of a lot in his 3 innings so far this series but he never seems to nick it or when he does it drops short

Edit. Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this. Nasser Hussain just did a bit on sky about it

Hopefully the ball won't be doing the same tomorrow, but I'm nervous.

Counting on Pope!
