What on earth are England going to do when JA finally hangs up his boots?
He’s been an absolute monster for us over the years and to think he missed 18 months a while back when he was out of form, could quite easily have had another 40 wickets under his belt.

Just getting back into cricket. That was great today. Fuck me reading all that ben stokes stuff isn't great though is it. I didn't really look into it at the the time and thought it was just some drunken fight that got out of hand.

]Anderson really is one of the all time greats in these conditions. Just need to get back out there and knock them over before the sun comes out!.
Not looking good for Stokes in that court case - with the homophobia allegations as well as the GBH he will need a good legal representation to get him off a custodial sentence.[/QUOTE]

Stokes come across as a right cretin tbh. All the stuff that’s come out in this court case and the Twitter video I saw where he is taking the piss out of Katie prices disabled boy.
As good a cricketer he is I’m not sure I want him playing for England again

It's amazing really. The guy has every thing - money - one of the best players in the sport. What are you doing? Throw it all away over nothing? I think his only defense is if he claims he's an alcy or some thing.

It doesnt sound good, but I cant really make head nor tail of it.
Ive tried reading this:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-45147422

According to that, the bloke who Ben Stokes knocked out, hit one of the gay fellas with a bottle?
Have i got that right?

Regardless, i presume its Stokes first offence, and it 'only' affray so even if he's found guilty i doubt he'd get a custodial sentence.
Talk of never wanting him to play for England again is nonsense really, until its clear exactly what happened and why it happened.

How many more chances is Jennings going to get before the penny finally drops that he simply is not good enough at this level.
And, that was a gormless review as well!

Woakes to open? I say this tongue and cheek but the guy has a great batting technique and a better record than all of our new comers opening and probably cook over the last few years

Well done chaps. Got lucky with the conditions, but used them well.

2 up, 3 to play.

It's going to be close. :cautious:

Well played lads and we seem to be playing with a bit of an edge this series, although the conditions have been in our favour. I rather suspect that there is a bit of niggle behind the scenes and Root is using Kohli's perceived arrogance as a way of firing up his team.

Don't change. Woakes is as good as him in English conditions and has nice hair :)

Wow, really surprised at that verdict!
Leave the squad exactly how it is, winning team and all that...

I think he's a lucky boy.
If he does come back in there is the option (given they have said they were concerned about the schedule) of rotating out Broad for this game, and then Anderson if they wrap up the series.

Hearing the judges statement before the Jury went out there was only ever going to be one verdict for me. Was nothing but a pissed up fight that Stokes won. Just a shame it had to go through this whole rigmarole to reach the answer.

For a start he won't come back in for Trent Bridge, and secondly this is definitely NOT the Test where you rest Anderson or Broad, who are both very well suited to the conditions there.

Stokes very lucky there IMO. Thought he may have been made an example of and given a tough sentence.

Lets see what the ECB do now, no doubt they'll give him a ban for bringing the game into disrepute. But wasn't he banned from the ashes, or was he just 'rested'.....

Makes you think that if Botham was playing now, how much aggro would he get pulled up for..??

I stand corrected!

Ben Stokes will be added to England's squad for the third Test against India after being found not guilty of affray.

If he plays, I guess it will be in place of Sam Curran.

I expect he was the aggressor - the clips shown in the media seem to suggest that, but reasonable doubt is reasonable doubt and when you're dealing with a load of pissed up clowns twatting each other, every account will be laced with reasonable doubt as to the validity of their memory.

Before anyone discusses getting him back into the team, let alone the squad, someone needs to establish if he's in the right frame of mind. Get him back among the squad training then assess him as he goes.

Soppy twat.
