Warner looks like he is in the zone today. Hasn't made a ton this series. This could be a big one.
Think England can be relatively pleased with that score so far. The pitch is a road and it was a perfect day for batting.
Problem is we'll be all out for 300.
The day two pitch at the MCG is notoriously the best day for batting. England will have their work cut out unless the weather gets involved over head.
Nah. We’ll go through them like a knife through butter. Mark my words.
Doesn't even matter if he thought he's hit it or not... right arm bowler round the wicket to left handed batsman... you've got to review that surely? How on earth do two England batsmen not know they’ve got an edge. Are they that fucking useless that they don’t even know when they’ve hit the ball?
Lol....I think your in the box seat to be honest.Well done Cook, and Broad for staying with him.
We might salvage a draw from this one.
Unfortunately, as long as the AFL makes more money than cricket, its interests will prevail over cricket's interests. The ground is owned by the Government of Victoria, and they'll always put dollars first, so the fact that the C in MCG stands for cricket doesn't make a dime's worth of difference. If Melbourne Cricket Club were the owner of the ground, rather than merely the operator, things might be different.this pitch is not fit for test cricket, fucking AFL can go suck a big fat one and find their own pitches. they seem to forget the C in MCG stands for cricket and this drop in pitch is not worthy of a test match
they should take the boxing day test match off them till they show they can produce a test match standard pitch
it will take a week to get a result on this highway
Still has the possibility of a cracking two days left of cricket depending on how Australia go at the top of their second innings.
If England can get amongst them then a win is possible, an explosive start from Warner and who knows.
From my perspective this match, bar the obvious reason, has me interested more than the last three.
Bit late, but never mind!!
Amazing in how many test series the losing side manages a win in the dead matches. This test clearly does not possess the intensity from Australia that a meaningful match would. England failed under pressure and now the likes of Broad and Cook start doing what they should have done when it mattered. Apart from the money involved there is no real reason for the series not to have finished after the third test. This game is comparable to a friendly international football match

The Aussies never tire of sticking it to us Poms, and it doesn't matter what sport we're playing. Back in January 2003, I was at the Sydney Cricket Ground for the 5th and final Test. The Aussies had already won the first 4 Tests, but you could tell they really wanted to make it 5-0.Can't agree with that.
This is an Ashes Test match. What it doesn't possess is Mitchell Starc, but the Aussies will be as intense as ever while there's an English team to stuff.
And what it does possess is an Alastair Cook who's rediscovered his form. You don't score more runs than Lara if the pressure gets to you.
