Normal service is resumed.

Unless we do something really special with the ball this will all be over in 25-30 overs.

In a T20 warm up game today David Willey hit Nathan Lyon for 34 off one over.

He was an impromptu opener.

Would've been the first English batsman to get 36 off an over...

Where has Stanlake come from!? Amazing stuff. Does he have test cricket in him or would 5 days be too much?

He's a Queenslander, but has played the last few Big Bash seasons in Adelaide. Really like big Billy though. So much to like. Gets a lot of pace, tall lad so gets good lift. Still has a bit to learn though. I hope he can make his Shield breakthrough soon. At this stage I think he is a few years off the Test scene. Needs to build his stamina first.

1 day international.

SA 118 all out

India - currently - 117-1

Needing 2 to win.

And they've come off for lunch.

Absolutely brainless.

Hales dropped the match...

Still may not have won but would've been a lot closer without Maxwell. Looked such an easy catch too.

I don't understand how domestically t20 seems the crowd puller where all the money is at. Yet in international series it's a sorry after thought. A couple of games to give players and grounds that don't usually get them a game. (Throw in another team to add interest ) the lack of comment on these matches shows the level of interest...

(Irrespective of how poor we were, it's not really a fitting end to any series let alone an ashes one)

To be honest over here the domestic Big Bash league is very very reasonable price wise to go and watch. The international matches are over double the price, and to be honest, there is no real interest in as you said, in a couple of afterthought games.

Just in case anyone doesn't know, the 4th ODI between England and New Zealand is currently on Sky.

Oh and I see the Aussies are reverting to type. Warner is and always will be an oily **** but Lyon surprised me, what he did was absolutely needless.

Sitting there watching Root & Bairstow thrashing the ball to all parts wondering how we'll manage to fuck it up.

267-1 to 313-9

8 wickets for 46 runs. That's how. Fucking shambolic.

Decent chance now that this will be England's lowest ever test score. 23/7 now, need to beat 45.
