Useless pack of ****s. Fuck this team. Pathetic.
If I was Archer I’d be fucking fuming. He dragged us through yesterday and these fucking shit pricks are taking turns to slap him in the face.
Absolutely under no circumstances should Archer be batting again today but he’ll be at his mark after lunch.
I'm sorry but I disagree, we have a few capable batsmen who are easily equal to the Australians on their day. We can all point to an instance where a team showed grit, graft, quality, or whatever else but we took (roughly) 8 for 40 yesterday, where was the Australian grit and graft there? We're poor, I'm not denying it, but we've still got quality players who just aren't performing as well as they can and the few that aren't good enough are really showing it.They don't exist in this set-up, unfortunately. Look at the way we batted in the 1st test to try to save the match. Now compare that to the Aussies' efforts in the last match. Absolute chalk and cheese. We're not made of the same stuff. No willingness to put a high price on our wickets. No grit, no graft.
We will get 290
I think they should all go have a lie down during lunch.
The only surprise is that people are still surprised by this. How can you be? It's been going on for years now. It's endemic and they're not interested in learning and getting better. As I've said hundreds of times now, standards are shite (all across test cricket) and it will keep on happening.
The bowling has been tidy and controlled, a really good effort and it's nibbled about, but every England dismissal they could have done more. You had the four obvious ones, but Root, decent ball or not, doesn't get forward to it and being so far back gives the ball every chance to do something and Bairstow is fiddling at one quite a way outside off. It's a crap effort all round.
And yet if a couple of them stay in for a while and manage to have a bit of a dart we can still easily get back to about parity. And then it's back on the Aussies to avoid total meltdown in the batting department.
