I'm not sure how this got twisted into what you posted but the original story was that he made a derogatory comment about about Joe Lewis's daughter (who's heavily involved in the business side of things).

Agree with Rob, Joe Lewis's daughter Vivienne Lewis is a managing director of multiple companies in her own right and has two adult daughters herself. I can't imagine Caulker trying it on with a women twice his age and if he did Vivienne Lewis is the kind of women who could handle it herself, she is certainly no daddy's little princess.

Such a shame for him. Like others have said, with all the money in the game, you'd think they'd look after the talent a bit better.

You can kind of see why Poch isn't keen on loaning players out now, although he wasn't here at the time, that whole Bristol City thing stinks of irresponsibility on their behalf.

Another thing that bugs me is footballs schizophrenic relationship with gambling. Gambling advertising floods football, yet players aren't allowed to bet on games and so many of them still end up addicted to it. Gambling has been normalised to such an extent now by all the "funny" adverts. Note the inverted commas.

A "shit attitude" is different from a medical condition. For fucks sake don't place Caulker in the same sentence as those two pillocks regarding the reason for his release.

Again read the damn article, because if you had of done, you would realise that you're post would have made little sense in relation to it at all.

A shititude.

Gambling is an epidemic in the U.K. People say it isn't and that studies don't back up the claim but it is in my own experience widespread. My cousin is a lobbyist and the last time we spoke he was telling me that he was doing a lot of work with one of the big corps to keep legislation minimal

The FA have finally done something sensible with their cancellation of all betting partnerships. A baby step in the right direction.

I know it wouldn't be for everyone, but I think I'd love to be a professional lobbyist. Currently in Marketing/PR/Comms. How does one become a professional lobbyist anyway?

It's pretty immoral. But fair enough if you haven't got any morals.

Lobbying is immoral?

Like...someone who lobbies for cancer research or all-organic farming is as immoral as someone who lobbies for animal testing or organ farming?

Come one, you know most of the lobbying is done by corporations fighting against regulation to increase their profits

A post from the man himself on Linked In:

My 4 years in Turkey has come to an end. It's certainly been an experience.

I came here on the 3rd January 2019 after being invited over here for a trial. At the time I had been without a team for 5 months and had been training alone in the woods next to my house. Every club I called in Europe had read/heard the stories of me being an addict and wouldn't touch me with a bargepole.

Turkey was different, they didn't care about my past.

I gave a good account of myself during the 10 day trial and the rest is history. I went on to play 85 games for Alanyaspor during the two most successful seasons in the club's history. Top 5 finish, a cup final, a semi-final, and I had the chance to play again in the Europa league qualifiers.

Life was great, I was in team of the season two years running, I was sober, and I had an apartment situated on the beach front.

But I wanted more.

I signed for Fenerbaçhe. The Turkish giants. I was picturing Ozil whipping the corners in and me tucking them away at the front post.

The day of me signing, I gave a 10 minute interview in Turkish, just like I had dreamt of doing with my agent when we first arrived in 2019. It was a fairytale.

Then 2 days later the bubble burst, a new manager came in out of the blue and decided from day one that he didn't want me. He then spent 2 months humiliating me before sending me out on loan.

The past 18 months have been painful. I have spent most of it angry at myself for chosing to join Fenerbaçhe and then whilst not thinking clearly, made another wrong decision in the summer to stay in Turkey when I had opportunities elsewhere.

Anyways, that led me to yesterday, my birthday. The day where I gave myself the best possible present by setting myself free, and today I am heading back to the UK to spend some much needed time with my family ❤️

Am I scared?
Yes a little. 31 years old, unemployed with a lot of responsibilities on my head. But after the journey I've been on for the past 15 years, I trust myself to deliver in whatever way God has planned.

Do I have regrets?
Yes, a few. Mostly the time I've lost trying to prove myself worthy to others when in truth they simply don't give a sh*t.

What will I do differently?
I will be sure to check that the manager actually wants me first.

Never his fault is it?

seems a bit odd to say next time he will check if the manager wants him ?.

But saying that I will always have negative views of the lad as I had shit dealings with him when he was at Swansea

but none the less hopefully someone picks him up or takes a risk

This should not be happening but it shows the immense pull of the gambling industry once again.

Gambling companies: We always advocate for problem gaming resources.
Also gambling companies: Stopping a sponsored company from employing a problem gaming advocate.

It doesnt matter where you're located. These gambling companies can act like they care but they do not.
