Always is with salaries as they aren't ever published (only the whole club's wage bill).
Modric's is being wrongly reported because either i) they're still writing the amount from his previous contract or ii) they are quoting the after tax amount. Consensus seems to be Modric is on c.£70k.

And according to Yidio it was not. Its not a hoax. And if it is its fooled a whole country. This guy is on a free, the biggest club in Mexico thought they had signed him, but he doesn't sign. He waits, and then says he has agreed to join spurs, where he suspects he might go on loan for the first season. We will find out at the begining of next month in anycase.
Forlan might well take a pay cut. Rossi is pie in the sky for the meantime, why would he want to go to us, when clubs of the likes of Barca are still on the look out?
Also I doubt it's about Pedrosa because he himself said he would sign on the 4th, which suggests that will be the date the whole thing is finalised.

You are basically stating my argument. You don't KNOW how much these guys are on, and it is folly to place faith in figures stated by the media.
Forlan will be on a hefty chunck, granted. But I'd be surprised if Rossi "one of the best strikers in La Liga" and a big enough name for most posters here to be our marquee signing, is on such a relatively low wage as the only you quoted. And the only reason you quoted such a low figure was to attempt to back up your argument that Hoowl was wrong to suggest that Forlan might be more likely to sign than Rossi. It was intentionally antagonistic.

They are a weird bunch over there. They hate ITK and slate everyone who passes on info but yet they have a thread dedicated to it? Also they haven't grasped the concept people might actually have info time to time.
They slate our forum yet lurk on it for the ITK.
Worst spurs forum IMO.
