its Fake, POTL has said the only place he posts is on COYS.

I assumed that they were quoting him from COYS, they had this in the same post as the 'apple pie' quote:

ThePOTL Phantom of the Lane
Can confirm we have our fingers in many pies. Hoping something will happen soon.

but I guess could have got that from here...?

No. According to the Goat it was just a hoax.

What? How did you reach that conclusion?

Is this a repeat of Rupworld or something? :bang:

The Goat said: Unless daniel is playing his cards very close to his chest Pedrozo isnt known by the club and hasnt been signed.

So, what we can infer from this is that The Goat's source has heard nothing about it but doesn't discount the possibility that Levy has kept certain people out of the loop on this one.

What he doesn't say is that it's a hoax.

And according to Yidio it was not. Its not a hoax. And if it is its fooled a whole country. This guy is on a free, the biggest club in Mexico thought they had signed him, but he doesn't sign. He waits, and then says he has agreed to join spurs, where he suspects he might go on loan for the first season. We will find out at the begining of next month in anycase.

Forlan might well take a pay cut. Rossi is pie in the sky for the meantime, why would he want to go to us, when clubs of the likes of Barca are still on the look out?

Also I doubt it's about Pedrosa because he himself said he would sign on the 4th, which suggests that will be the date the whole thing is finalised.

Barca are out of the race and the top 4 clubs in england don't won't him, He's not a Mourinho striker as he wants a big no9. according to reports

That leaves Italy, Inter may want him, AC will likely sign Ibra and Juventus will probably try if they don't get Aguerro

If juventus I could see him going there as he has mentioned he would like to go to Italy

Does Levy have to sign off on every transfer no matter how small? Do any of the scouts have enough power where they can spend under a certain number without getting the okay from him?

In all businesses there are controls and I would guess :

1 Every contract over say £2k pm (£100k pa) has to be signed off by Levy as chairman.

2 Levy delegates the signing of say 11 players pa of < £500 pa to the Academy chief

Levy signs off on everything! No one buys anything!

And I'm sure we will move on but with two months to go why would we accept the first offer now?

With Keane? For a number of reasons;

  1. There is little or no interest in him at the moment.
  2. For the last 2 seasons he has been loaned out to Celtic then Spam, making it clear that he no longer part of our thinking. In between he couldn't get a berth on the subs bench.
  3. The club has stated that we need to free up squad positions, to sell before we can buy. If we load up our squad further then his value will decrease further.
  4. He's one of the top wage earners at the club and he can't get a bech warming position let alone a start. If we don't sell him we will still be paying a further 60 htousand (or more) per week for surplus.
  5. It'd stop the whingeing about how we seem to be unable to shift our unwanted players.
  6. It might just generate interest for other surplus players if other clubs can see we are willing to sell for a price that suits them. Interest leads to competitive bidding, which leads to an increase in value (theoretically of course)
Start the ball rolling. The management no longer want him, the fans no longer want him. Sell him now for the best price we can get. If the best we could previously do was loan him out to Spam, with the proviso that they'd only buy him if they stayed up, and that was for 6 mill, then it's clear that he's not on the top of anyones shopping list, if he's on any at all!
