Oh, I'm perfectly calm. And whatever value I or you may place on Crouchinho is totally irrelevant.

20 million would be unreal for Palacios & Crouch! use those funds to get Diaara, then offload
Keane, Hutton, Gio & Bentley and use the funds towards a deadline day swoop for Rossi! Happy Days!

Forget Diarra , just buy Rossi and Falcao with them funds, players we need

Well, at least Adebayor hasn't gone to Real Madrid yet, can only be a good thing...

Shit. Just as I was accepting a window of nothingness and disappointment I am introduced to TORNADO THURSDAY. Fuck yeah, Falcao, Rossi, Adebayor triple deal baby.

There's a difference between offering an informed opinion and talking out of your arse.

This is true....but we'll have no clue about him until the eleventh hour I would imagine.
This will no doubt be levys excuse for not signing a decent forward!! goal posts got moved at the last min when real came back in...

We're making a real statement of intent with our dealings in this window.

Or maybe the opposite could be said for those buying any of the tripe the Daily Mail sell?

Nobody is "buying" tripe in the Daily Mail, but there have been many different sources clearly indicating that he has been asking ludicrous sums for players that have hardly kicked a ball all year.

I know what you mean, and I share your frustration, but the start of the season is more or less meaningless for clubs...unless you are mega-rich and can just sweep clubs and players off their feet whenever you want.

I too would love us to have signed even just ONE striker that could improve on the shower of shit that bottled it last season, but sadly it looks like we have to wait.

I'm actually increasingly worried for the future of Levy (for the record, I want Levy/Lewis in charge as they have done a great job). A lack of a new striker may end up putting Levy in a very difficult position.

Jamie Redknapp saying "if Chelsea offer £35m for Modric it'll be like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Must think of it from a business point of view and 2 or 3 quality players can be bought with that cash"

Then Jamie doesn't know his arse from his elbow.

We got 35 million for Berbatov when he had less than 2 years remaining on his contract, and that was before Citeh got their money and blew the transfer fees into orbit.

Modric is as influencial, if not more so, to our team as Berbatov was.

And he has 5 years remaining on his contract.

I'm not going to bother with the 'send a message' explanation because it's been posted on here often enough and, quite frankly, if that hasn't been taken in by now it never will.

Nobody is "buying" tripe in the Daily Mail, but there have been many different sources clearly indicating that he has been asking ludicrous sums for players that have hardly kicked a ball all year.

And yet it's only the Mail that have put up 25 million, which has been 'bought' by a few on here.

Additionally, as those 'sources' have been confirmed by no one then they should be treated in the same way as the ITK wouldn't you say? Pinch of salt and all that?

But that doesn't happen. The first negative report is swallowed hook, line and sinker. Panic ensues.
The first link with quality is swallowed with rapture ensuing.

Everybody buys into the tripe without fail. We all feel the excitement and the disappointment. Jesus, we've even had calls for the Chairmans head on here FFS. That's not 'buying' the 'meeja' tripe?

Seriously, some on here really need their bumps felt.
