Can I ask why?

Just think that Falcao got more to his game and would suit the lone striker better and given a choice of the 2 i'd choose him .
I know ya got Rossi as ur avatar and you would obviously prefer him its just a personal choice but then id pick Rossi over any of the three we got at the moment.

One striker isnt going to fix everything, Even if we had Drogba or Falcao up front I could still see them getting horribly isolated and getting marked out of the game. We cant play 4-4-1-1 with VdV dropping into midfield and the wide players hugging the touchline IMO.

hence why we are looking at wide players that cut in to support the attack like Gervinho and Nzogbia.

I agree with Brett here. (dont think I'm trying to chat up you're bird here Brett, its just harmless flirting) but, Rossi would be absoloutely perfect here. He would thrive with our build up play, and his finishing really could be the difference for us.

But on the flip side like Supachan said, I'd take Falcao over anything we already have.

not in particular wide players. Like I posted yesterday, Harry is looking for pace. Pace from anywhere!

& this is the key in the premiership....but it has to be coupled with ability!!

when wenger took over the scum the key was big, strong, powerful....he had that in abundance, viera, petit et al....

the game has moved on, modric & silva type players now thrive & the pace has gone up 10 fold....

counter attack with precision/skill is everything...ask utd, rooney, nani, valencia, hernandez....

we need pace, loads of t, but its hard cos yoou need it coupled with the ability to trap cement & that is not easy to find!

I hear Usain Bolt fancies himself as a player, Harrys probably already tapping him up. He thinks he's triffic, a top runner for sure...

Me too. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

God knows how many times I've thought or said that I'd turn my back on Spurs if we sold Modric to United, but I'd stumble on supporting Spurs anyway, albeit in a miserable, dejected state.

Lol, I'd never quit Spurs. If Mod left, we'd still have Sandro - potentially the best defensive midfielder IN THE WOOORLD, build around him and Baler

PERSPECTIVE NEEDED

brownheads update said that offers might possibly be 'entertained' for VdV. This means that if a whopper of a bid came in, say £20M+, then they would consider it. It would be foolish not to.

As had clearly been stated by HR in one of his many, many, many interviews: we are looking to STRENGTHEN the squad. DL released a statement on the OS that we WILL NOT sell the prized members of our team. If we sell VdV it will be for an enormous profit, and invested in a way that the head honchos think will IMPROVE us.

VdV is not agitating for a move and, as DL stated in his open letter, we do not need to generate funds through the sale of our best players. But if they think the money generated from a possible VdV sale could be put towards a player that HR thinks might improve the way we play as team, might work better with the other players we have at our disposal, then fair enough...

if we sell VDV and I see Jenas and Crouch at our club next season....

Imagine the reaction on here if we started next season with the lineup:

------------Friedel---------------
Hutton--Dawson--Gallas---Ekotto
Bentley--Jenas--Palacios--Pienaar
-----------Crouch-Defoe--------

honestly if spurs sell modric this summer thats it for me. what does that say about us..i really wud find it disgusting , really would, first decent sign that we are putting a proper team together and what do we do, sell to our fucking rivals up the road. it would be pure joke. im a spurs fanatic since little kid but i grow weary of what goes on behind scenes at spurs i really do. its time to put up or just shut up spurs. like i said million times. if we want club to be best we have to keep best, thats beginning and end of it. if we have new stadium in 3 years time who do we want running out as captain and leader on that first day, people like jenas and bentely and keane.. give me break. we have some serious players now lets do something about it

Daniel is not a Crouch fan at all as he is a Harry buy, so he will offload for decent money at the best opportunity. We need to offload players first which is proving more difficult than expected, so its my opinion that Crouch will be sold to fund one of the strikers Harry has been chasing around Europe :hump:

SC would go into meltdown without question... but then that team would probably go and do something ridiculous like win the league
