Well Herc posted today suggesting the fee is not yet agreed as Grealish is not forcing it. The player is seemingly in Portugal with Villa. Didn't really align with the talk last night of developments that we might hear about today.

Most including myself assumed it was clearly Grealish at the time but the above did make me wonder...

Don't know about others but I didn't Herc's and Breezer post were about an announcement rather about news coming out that terms have been agreed.

I really doubt any club can do a surprise transfer announcement without the journos knowing about the medical and all that.

It does seem like the Spurs media team hold off on announcements and save them for periods of time when they can create the most amount of noise. With the World Cup semis' and final this week, plus other transfer news i.e Ronaldo and other prem clubs announcing their latest signings. Surely any news won't be officially announced until next week - whether that is signings, contracts or sponsorships...

A Grealish signing wouldnt even be talked about if it was the only thing to happen that day. It would make absolutely no waves. Maybe garner a 1 second thing on Sky but thats about it. We’re not going announce it because its not done yet.

This seems like a nightmare for anyone dealing with us and potentially a weird end to the window for us as fans as you have to imagine not everything will come off.

Belgium reaching the semi finals have definitely delayed everything.Once Toby and Dembele transfers are sorted out everything will fall Into place.

I wouldn’t worry, it’s no different from any other window and we usually come up smelling of roses. It was pretty obvious from day one that most deals across Europe would be done once the World Cup was over and that goes for all teams and not just us.

Good news on the whole from Ali Z though. Patience is just required.

Guessing Maguire, seems unlikely...only been at Leicester a year and been very impressive at the World Cup and Leicester's player of the year.
Would cost a fortune, unless theres some clause.
