Not sure of any clubs outside of England who’d spend 70m on a 29 year old CB, they’re all usually far more clever then that

Surely only Madrid

If it is a bid in euros, we have to assume it came from abroad, not from United. Can’t demand Martial in return, then :p:p

It’s obviously from Man Utd.

He didn’t say why it’s in euros. I’m assuming it’s because that’s what his contact has told him. I just copy and pasted.

Not getting Martial as part of the deal. Is madness if you ask me. They’ll sell him and it won’t be to us.

Can’t see Madrid, Bayern, Juventus etc splurging that much on a 29 year old who was injured for much of last season.

Most of them back their domestic leagues over England.

PSG or Utd I reckon.

I think that hertyid suggested United in the post....
Hard to understand why the bid would be in Euros, but equally hard to see any other bidder besides United at that amount. Bayern’s record transfer is 37.5 (for Tolisso). Barca just re-signed Umtiti to a huge deal. Would be shocked if F Perez at RM was submitting huge bids before settling the manager situation. Maybe PSG, if they feel like they can squeeze a huge transfer in before getting sanctioned? Just don’t see him fitting a need at PSG.
Has to be United, which is disappointing. But would understand Levy accepting a bid at that amount, would be extremely hard to turn down...

Great money for a 29 year old, only problem is I believe herc has alluded to Ajax demanding de ligt stays with them for 1-2 seasons, which would leave us a bit short in the short term.

Maureen must be feckin' desperate to spend that kind of money on a 29 year old. Pathetic really. Have to wonder how well he'd do with an underfunded team.

Funny if it is united that yesterday they leaked that they won’t pay more then 55 and they’ll move onto other targets and then they come crying back a day later

Kinda pathetic

£70m for a player that has 1 year on his contract that wants to go. Wow! I resigned to losing him a while ago for circa £30m. Bite that hand off!

Spurs probably said if there's no Martial you got to pay a premium, €80m is that premium.
Too good to turn down all things considered, but they must have someone tied up otherwise they will be passing on that premium to someone else.

No way Man U will pay 70m for him not with his injury record I mean 5 months to get over a hamstring injury! Top defender but not far off 30 and he plays less games every season got to be a PSG desperate buy

If this is a PSG or likewise team who have bid. We could use this to put pressure on Utd...do the swap with Martial now or we accept the Euro bid

With their FFP issues I doubt it is them..but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the ITK everyone..
Wonder if it could be that Tuchel wants to play with a back three and wants Toby to play alongside Kimpembe and Marquinhos? And maybe PSG thinks they can just get this one under he wire before the hammer comes down?
