but we're not bending over, the days of bending over are when we sold a player we want to keep then gave in. Toby is surplus, and if we hold on to him for 1 season, we will be paying a player money we want off our books and paying it to the player that will replace him.

as I mentioned a little earlier, why keep a player that might cause trouble, and stop us purchasing another.

Missing out on 3 big targets Martial, De Light and Sessegnon is a bit of a shitter so there is understandably a lot (too much) of negativity in here.

But i'm still optimistic that we will be happy come the end of the window, the ITKs are mostly happy and reassuring us that there are things going on so we need to just wait and see what happens.

So we will have sold 2 of the best backline in the Prem to our rivals in back to back seasons and both of those clubs have refused to sell us Sancho and Martial in return...70 mill is great but Im not sure I can see a massive positive out of this tbh

It is worth concluding the point you make . We sold walker but that was not the reason we finished below man city.They have 10 other players on pitch !
Sure Toby will bolster Man Utd yet it does not mean that we can't fill the void. Toby barely played last year and the team has evolved. If he is out long term njured again whilst at another team we will have had the last laugh!
It is best to focus on what we have, what we can achieve with those players and the great MoPo at the helm!
It's pointless talking about players we dont have!

To keep @Everlasting Seconds analogy, it's like people are freaking out there'll be no Christmas because their parents haven't told 'em what their prezzies are! Ridiculous. If there's a week left in the TW and still no big signings, sure let's flip out by all means, but is patience too much to ask?

Oh, actually somebody who knows how to use an analogy (it wasn't initially mine, I responded to the analogy "inventor"). Your point is valid, but it leads to a logical question. If everybody must be patient and everybody must repeat the same party line ("Tottenham is great, this window is awesome, oh my god i can't believe I'm fortunate enough to be a Spurs fan"), then why do we even keep SC open during summer. If it's all about patience and no discussion about difference of opinion in June and July, we all might simply log off for 10 weeks.

You jumped on my post without getting my point. It looks like we are selling to another Manc club and giving them a player they want whilst they refuse to give us one we want.

Also we 'replaced' Walker and how has that turned out so far?

Quite a big jump, that second part is, to go from me saying we all need a little patience, to "no discussion about difference of opinion"... I get what you're saying, but still - reading through the past 16 pages, the only party line I saw is that maybe @A&C needs a wank (and that's official policy).

Before people freak out Gards confirmed this is not a cryptic. So he was most likely just feeling positive about the goings on and wanted to share that feeling. Which may be in and of itself good for those that need to see itks being positive to feel so themselves but probably not really much to discuss.
