Bale is the obvious end product of the "building up" we have heard about from ITK. A summer of contract redos, followed by a smaller signing (Grealish), then maybe a few mid-tier signings, ending in naming rights announcement and Bale would be brilliant PR. Just don't know if its realistic.

You hear that, Levy? That's the first half an hour to an hour (depending on which seat is purchased) of Bale's contract paid for. Get it done!

I guess the problem with Bale is that it is definitely possible but very unlikely. So an ITK is asked "is it possible?" and they honestly answer "yes but only 1% as there are so many..." and only the "yes" is actually heard as the fact it is unlikely is drowned out by wanking noises.

Last I checked the season was longer than 2 games. Plus we have to get there first. Which is saying a lot because he's injury-prone, too expensive, and over the hill. Or at least that's what people are saying.

Ok. My final gambit. He plays in the same position as Sisoko. Even if he does get injured there is a possibility that he would keep Sisoko out of the team.

Aliz is right about Bale. But I give chances less than 1%, to his 10%. His contract with RM is not that simple. Do not want to get into the details.
Gelsen Martens’ agents and more are trying to offer him to us. We have not bitten after past experiences. Things can change however, but haven’t heard that change as of yet.

ali z: RE Bale could still happen, a lot depends on next RM manager and Ronaldo, fee would not be anywhere near the £200m reported in fact less than half, Bale would I am led to believe accept similar wages to Kane, he wants to be happy and be playing, if you ask me we have 10% chance, my info says higher but i refuse to believe it really could happen.

ali z: Hate saying this as we have been led down this path before but financially we are playing a different game, we will spend net substantially , yes we will lose some players we might rather keep but our incomings should be of the same or higher quality. Plan is for it to be more phased and little done at the last minute but we been here before like we both say.

Knew it, knew it, knew it. If he really will take the same money as Kane and we can agree on a fee then it HAS to be done!*

Martins on a free is highway robbery. The rumored fee last summer was ~70m with a clause that could up it to 90m. We're interested and if they're shopping him it would be such nice early business. Martins is kind of quality at the WF position we've been looking to make a statement with.
