No chance - he's got a VERY good chance of winning the MLS title with Seattle at the moment.
He's also playing in front of 55,000 per home game, so why walk away now??

Centurylink Field actually has about 67,000 + max capacity, but you're pretty spot on because the maximum capacity is normally expanded for only big games and special events (such as the recent Sounders friendly vs Spurs for example) :)

Don't know if I'm posting this in the rigt thread, I hope I am. Goal.com are quoting Pochettino with this:

"We currently have 32 players so we need to be clinical in our selection."

32? Thirty-two? But.... The offical website lists only 30?

Official site hasn't added Zlatan or Messi yet that's why. Amateurs.

Lloris, Friedel, Vorm
Walker, Naughton, Fredericks
Davies, Rose, Fryers, BAE
Dawson, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Chiriches, Dier, Veljkovic
Sandro, Capoue, Dembele, Paulinho, Mason, Carroll, Bentaleb
Lamela, Eriksen, Holtby, Lennon, Townsend, Chadli, Ceballos
Adebayor, Soldado, Kane

IF my counting is correct, that's 32 players that could be available for choosing to be in the first team.

I understand some of those are U-21 and don't need to be registered, but I'm assuming he means he's got a pool of 32 players that he could pick for a squad and it's simply too much. Hence why he said he must be clinical in his decisions.

EDIT: Added Chiriches and BAE. So, it's 33 players.

Cebellos is not on the first team page. That makes 31 - 32 if you include Archer.
Unless Poch is counting players we don't know about...
Edit: 32 with Velkovic

Poch wants 25, that doesn't mean he wants 25 overage registered players, that's the whole squad he wants to use.
We're miles over.

31 if you don't count Kaboul twice:)

Meh, just add BAE that I forgot - just like we all have, including the club.
I forgot him too, It was a good point though from your list we have got 14 midfielders of one kind or another, stands to reason we are going to see loads going out by the end of the month.

I'm hopeful we do see quite a few sold. Seems useless to keep such a loaded squad of monotonous talents because we over value players. In turn we end up just paying their wages for no reason. I'd rather we just lower the asking price a tad and get these players moved on and reduce the wage bill if at all possible. More money in the bank for players we could actually utilize. It also frees up some space to bring some youth through. Not exactly a novel idea, however.

32 now. Sell BAE, that's 31. I don't count Friedel personally, now that we have Vorm his role is as a coach not a player, so that's 30. Loan Carroll or Mason, 29. Loan Fryers, loan Fredericks or sell Naughton, 27. Sell Ceballos, 26. Sell one CB, 25. Not too bad.

Of course, if Schneiderlin comes in we'll also inevitably see at least one central midfielder go. I think it likely we'll see at least one go as is, and were Schneiderlin to come in I think it'd be two. Also think we'll see two of Bentaleb, Carroll, and Mason sold/loaned.

Just curious - a kid playing for Derby County, who has a chance at promotion, but Spurs come calling in January - where does he want to go? Stay with Derby for the rest of the season, or come to Spurs in January?

Having just looked on the OS, only 3 of them would be counted as under 21's this year, Davies, Dier and Kane. Quite a lot of the younger ones had their last year as U21 last season. That leaves 30 O21's and, therefore, at least 5 to go whether sold or loaned out, and that still leaves any other incoming as over the top of the maximum squad total of 25.
