Although I agree with you Stoof, that is the party line and he's not exactly going to say he's panicking because we haven't signed anyone.

True. But he's been more circumspect before: "we're trying" and "we are looking". This has been: "no, we're signing people, this is our time".

That's why I'm fairly relaxed, but that could be because I just had a really good poo.

Also quite aware that I'm causing the thread to drift. Let's keep it ITK.

It's a great shame that Rose appears to fail to recognise that Spurs (Poch) took him from a £2m player to a £60m player. On the other hand it's great to hear that Ross can see what Spurs can do for his career

It's quite clear Barkley has wanted a move to us, you only have to look at his comments about Alli and Dembele. He's done well keeping quiet and letting the club do its thing. Hopefully this will get done sooner rather than later.

I'd like to think of myself as a centre leaning BSODL but it's getting hard to keep the faith at the moment. Fully expecting a ramp up in the volume of ITK activity in the coming week as we start to chase about 20 players in the hope of landing one!

Think about it this way: where did the Sun get the original story? Rose. Whose interests is it in for people to think other players agree with him? Rose. Either he or his agent has told the Sun about the heroes welcome, so it cannot be trusted.

Yep. Shaw plus lots of money must be tempting for Poch tho, given his age and previous performances under Poch.. I wonder if this is a game changer in the sense that we sell Rose to UTD and get Shaw, then up everyone's wages once Rose has gone.. It's going to be interesting to see how it pans out. I really hope Lloris Toby Verts Dembele Wanyama Eriksen Kane and Son are all committed.. I could see Dier and Alli having their heads turned down the line tbh.

I'm just trying to imagine which players would have stood up and applauded Rose in front of MP... Kane? Winks? Sonny? Davies? Tripps? Hugo? Verts? Wanyama? Nah. Unless MP put Rose up to it in the first place...

Exactly - the media have been desperate for some dirt on us Since Poch joined, he gives them practically nothing in every conference he speaks in. Now DR has come out and let people peer behind the curtain, its open season for the press. Poch must be LIVID (as am I). Silly silly boy.

I hope this is true and Rose ends up missing out on the World Cup. Scum of epic proportions. Even if he was right he should have aired his grievances behind closed doors. You can not disrespect your employers so publicly at any level and get away with it. You reap what you sow. What about a swap - Wimmer for Betrand who then he gets to be first choice LB for England at the WC

"Scum of epic proportions". Absolute rubbish. He's a member of the team who's made a mistake in the way he's gone about airing his concerns. It's exactly this kind of thoughtless, disrespectful comment that has probably had a bad influence on his decision to speak out in the way he has.

Depends what you mean by 'backing'. Yes, maybe some of them were frustrated by the wage structure and lack of signings, but does that mean they also support him going to the Sun? Not necessarily
