He definitely is aware of the world around him, hence his unhappiness at 65K per week. His mate is earning more up north and he wants the same. Man Utd were successful for so many years partly due to Fergie refusing to take shit from anyone (incl Keane / Staam & Van Nistelrooy). Poch in a similar way has managed to get rid of a few players such as Townsend and Bentaleb and the collective spirit has helped us get to where we are today. He is not that good to turn a blind eye and go against your principles. People defending Rose because he is thick etc I just don't get. He is an adult and he has to accept the consequences.

Difference is Fergie's Man Utd could sell a player and cherry pick the best players they wanted from PL clubs to replace them...

Unfortunately the Rose situ has been around for a few months....we will see what happens....

Probably explains why we were so keen on Sessegnon. I really hope we don't repeat the same mistake as Walker and actually have a replacement sorted BEFORE we inevitably show him the door.

Me too, but I also hope he gets back on board and knuckles down. He's been a dick, but everyone makes mistakes.

I'm intruiged by what JJ means by "different" personality. It's good to see the squad didn't give him a heroes welcome too.

I seem to remember some talk of of DR being a bit bi-polar.

If that's been the case then I'm surprised this wasn't alluded to previously when it was always suggested that it was just Walker out and no one else from key personnel.

Good player and whilst he has valid points over the wage structure, we can't have bad eggs in the camp.

We all wait with baited breath to see what the club/Poch's response is

I'm pretty sure most, if not all of you have had your say on this in either the Rose thread in Spurs Chat or the Rose thread in this sub-forum. In fact, it's almost certain you're in here saying exactly the same things as you've said in those two threads :D

But I can understand it, sort of, it's a big story.......so we'll go with it for now........

However, at some point, we're going to call a halt to it in here and direct you to those two threads. And when we do, if there's any more ITK on the Rose situation, it'd be nice if we confined ourselves to that rather than repeat again how stupid he is, what it means to the club, how the players might react etc etc etc, you know, the stuff you've already said at least four times each :D

Quite relaxed about Barkley. ITK pretty much states it's on and he's keen to join. Think he'll do rather well under Poch's guidance.

Think about it this way: where did the Sun get the original story? Rose. Whose interests is it in for people to think other players agree with him? Rose. Either he or his agent has told the Sun about the heroes welcome, so it cannot be trusted.

Agent speak for sure. Hertyids ITK sounds a lot more likely, bet Kane etc are fuming

I'd imagine his agent is fine about it as in the end it will probably see him sold for a large fee. Of which his agent will get a nice slice.
Maybe in isolation, but who knows who else at the club his agent represents and what this means regarding the agents relationship with the club....i think agents are sometimes unfairly all tarred with the same brush, no doubt some of them are snakes but that's not always the case.
Regardless as per JJ, this is all Danny's doing.

So as I see it we are waiting for Barkley, Everton are waiting for Sigurdsson, Swansea are waiting for Chadli and West Brom are waiting on Barry from......Everton!
I see a simple solution to this, can it really be that easy?

It's great that the misery that is the Rose situation is distracting me from the misery that is our transfer window... Good times. If Rose isn't getting support from other players then that is something positive at least.

Yeah some good points there.

this been posted?

hertyid: Assuming my guy isn't lying to me, he certainly didn't receive a hero's welcome, the opposite in fact. I've seen no quotes from any player to support Rose. I don't expect any. Media just love jumping on a bandwagon.

Levy isn't going to get his cheque book out just because Danny Rose spouted off to the papers. Far more likely Rose is bollocked, used as squad player this year and sold next summer.

I hope this is accurate. Particularly excited to see the snake in front of our home fans if and when he plays for us again.

Worth noting that this isn't the first time Rose has fallen foul of Poch. Pretty sure we had some ITK season before last that he had disappointed Poch as he had been allowed to travel north for a friends birthday and had not returned at the allotted and agreed upon time.

The man himself has literally said the words "we are calm" and "we will bring in players" in the last couple of days.

What is seemingly too much to ask for is a bit of patience, an acknowledgment of our actual financial situation (in comparison to the other Top 6/7 teams) and a semblance of thinking about the bigger picture.
The "man himself" on the 21st July literally said the words,"How have Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and different clubs tried to improve their season? By bringing in players and trying to put more pressure on their star players, their key players – and for us we need to do that too. For us we are a little bit behind, working hard in trying to finish and sign some players to try to help us bring some new energy and make our team more competitive". Fast forward a month and "what is seemingly too much to ask for is patience"?!!! Really?!! What is seemingly too much to ask for is a replacement right back. Tomorrow we are start the league campaign without a recognised first team right back, despite the "acknowledgement that our actual financial situation" sees the Club a whopping £70+ million to the good after player sales! Now, for me, the "bigger picture" is most importantly, supporting our manager by providing him with the reinforcements he's asked for, but as of now, and as the season kicks off, that clearly and unequivocally hasn't happened.

Mate I was airing my view just the way you are. I won't say what you said was rubbish even if I don't agree. The interview and timing were deliberate and have in the eyes of many destabilised our club just before the season. Every man and his dog now is now talking about the club in a negative way and we now apparently have players queuing up to the leave the club. All because a disgruntled prick who signed a contract 10 months ago and said he wanted to finish his career at Spurs and was turning into a southerner and by the way hasn't played a game for the last 6 months is unhappy. Yes he is a member of the team, perhaps the is will change to was - who knows.

Is "exaggeration" your major in college? I dont think the majority of other fans have so much interest in Spurs news.
Granted it is a stupid mistake. But not an unforgivable one.

Not his agent he's flying solo on this one !
Ps can we put the info about Stoofs poo in the Read only and say it is a cryptic and watch the meltdown !
Not sure how DR and others would be able to complain as they pretty much all signed new recent contracts. If they didn't know they could get more money elsewhere then they need to get new agents.

The mind boggling how dense and ungrateful this fella is...out injured, unable to do his job, and he wants a pay raise?! Where is the logic here? Hard work gets rewarded, not the opposite. Least in the world I live in....
