Great news regarding Sanchez although I still get nervous when a deal is close. I literally know nothing about the guy but if we're willing to spend that sort of money on him when we wouldn't spend close on Foyth, we must be convinced.

I can't imagine we wouldn't spend at least a majority of the money we made on sales. We don't usually make a big saving in a transfer window. So if we spend round £30m on this guy it would not surprise me and we'd still have a fair amount left in the kitty.

Can always trust Ajax providing us with a good player. We more or less only have success with our transfers buying domestic or from Ajax.

He definitely is aware of the world around him, hence his unhappiness at 65K per week. His mate is earning more up north and he wants the same. Man Utd were successful for so many years partly due to Fergie refusing to take shit from anyone (incl Keane / Staam & Van Nistelrooy). Poch in a similar way has managed to get rid of a few players such as Townsend and Bentaleb and the collective spirit has helped us get to where we are today. He is not that good to turn a blind eye and go against your principles. People defending Rose because he is thick etc I just don't get. He is an adult and he has to accept the consequences.

......most likely tripling his pay packet elsewhere :poop:

There's a bit of a difference between the two, Sanchez starred in a Europa league final run and Foyth hasn't even played 10 senior games. Fair that the price is so different.

I hope Danny doesn't Google him he might think we're signing Mexico's top scorer of all time?

Looks like Danny has found Wikipedia too:

Davinson Sánchez Mina (born 12 June 1996) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Eredivisie club Ajax. Also considered the Chinese Ledley King.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davinson_Sánchez

It's the follow-up line that's the killer...

The Chinese Ledley King is the bit that's killing me :ROFLMAO:
It now says

Davinson Sánchez Mina (born 12 June 1996) is a Colombian chef who currently works as the head chef at the Ledley Peking restaurant

And it also says "we are Liverpool tralalalala" under his photo

This another 3rd party issue, possibly?

No 3rd party.

He is an Ajax player.

I imagine the tough part is that he is very, very, very highly regarded. Barca went in for him at the beginning of the summer and supposedly the deal broke down because he didn't want to play on Barca B.

Surely from how things have went with Foyth it means Sanchez would have been fyfth choice? Why would we be willing to spend more on a player who wasn't out primary target?
