Pereira, Sessegnon and Lemar would certainly add pace into the side. What do we reckon, 60/70m for all three?

Walker, Bentaleb and Fazio would probably pay that off.

Sissoko added to the outs should add £15m plus... Could see Walker going for more than £50m based on John Stones alone.

Are we close on signing anyone yet I think a few weeks to go yet before we see someone.

No I actually think what is holding up making a new signing this week, is we we don't have one, didn't sound like any strong possibility of one anyway, so I would say not to expect anything this month.

"The club will continue to look at value in the light of the crazy transfer fees being banded about for very average players. Have been told to expect a signing in the next few days, but that's about all I have been able to get at the moment"

Obviously the deal could have fallen through since he posted, or we could still be tying up a few loose ends. He could also be talking about Lopez, or a younger player, but it sounds positive though.

According to reports in the press we have an option on Lopez for €7m until 30th June but we (obviously) want to pay less.

The Lopez deal would be expected considering it was only a very low fee.

Its been on and off again about 3 or 4 times since like January. I fully expect that one to go until deadline day at this rate.

Would also say that if Wimmer goes then we'd have to look at a CB - possibly Veltman based on what we've seen thus far.

And if I was being a bit greedy then I'd like us to look at another striker option. A smaller, quicker player like Kevin Gameiro or someone of his style, however, that's a bit of a reach probably and we know that Son can do a job and Janssen will hopefully be better in his 2nd season.

There's no doubt if it was just the 3 mentioned and only them then we'd be better off but I suppose if Pereira replaced Walker then we're only adding 2 players, 1 of which is very young and may not be ready to contribute right away so we could still arguably do more to try and improve the squad depth.
