We went into a bit of overdrive yesterday when we actually had some ITK to discuss and seemingly positive vibes being given out which has cut back on the suicidal thoughts some of you were harbouring.

Ok re adebayor DL has reluctantly agreed to split his 175k a week wages on one yr loan city will pay rest of his wages deal,combination of 3 things now means this deal likely,mancini wants him away from first team squad,we are getting desperate and jose has not followed through with his initial interest
our desperation re strikers is caused by a few factors,ridiculous asking prices,crazy wage demands and lastly harry constantly changing his f55king mind,he did it in all jan with van bommel and now is doing it with striking options,dl aint happy cos he knows harry is media savvy and will pass buck, dl will get grief if we are left with pav and crouch up top come sept,that relationship aint brill and as ive said before if either a slow start or harry goes down dl is big anceloti fan
im not a huge dl fan but he is willing and able to spend 30million ish for right striker,wages of over 100k a week are a problem for us though,getting shot of a few bodies such as keano whos on 60k as week will help us no end we simply cant just add another 200-300k a week on wages without getting rid of some of our unwanted first teamers first

Although i'm not sure POTL will be happy with Dragon1 referring to 'Blue' by name, after all its a great big secret isn't it?

Which added fuel to the good news fire.

And that was pretty much it for the ITK. However, I was in Tesco yesterday morning and spotted Daniel Levy at the checkout. This is what happened...........

Checkout Girl: That'll be £156 exactly, do you have a clubcard

DL: Well i've got this.....(Waves a Spurs Chop staff discount card under
the girls nose)

Checkout Girl: I'm sorry sir, we don't accept those

DL: How can I pay?

Checkout Girl: Well sir, you can pay by cash or by using your debit or
credit card

DL: No no no, I mean can I put half down now, a quarter in a years time and the final instalment after i've made 10 more appearances in this store?

Checkout Girl: Sorry sir?

DL: Tell you what.........I'll give you £90 now in one payment and £30 in 6
months time

Checkout Girl: That only comes to £120 sir. I need £156 in full and i'm
afraid you have to pay it now, before you leave the store

DL: I see, playing hardball are we?

Checkout Girl: No sir, i'm just doing my job, now could you please pay the
bill sir? There are other customers waiting behind you

DL: Customers my arse, at least two of them are licensed agents hoping to make a few clubcard points on the deal......OK what time do you close?

Checkout Girl: 7pm sir

DL: I'll be back to do a deal at 5 to seven...........

Interesting developments. Adebayor loan deal would mean that we are bringing in a top strikers who can play up top alone without dipping into our funds yet. Mystery's itk about levy being on a plane to Portugal could mean that we are about to spend big on someone else. Mystery has suggested hulk, metro are today suggesting falcao but either plus adebayor would be an incredible result. Positive.

The last two months most of the fans on here having been crying out for a new striker ...yes, thats not the same as wanting Harry or Levy out.
Maybe one or two idiots have called for Harry's head, but they are the same ones that have been calling for his head since he walked through the doors at WHL. those fans will never be satisfied and should not be confused with the fans who just want a decent forward and are getting frustrated at the prospect of another wasted window.

I'm a doom monger and I would be ecstatic IF we brought in them two, if we don't I won't be calling for anyone's head, but I will be pissed off if we don't get anyone in. I don't expect players who's wages we can't afford but surely there are realistic targets out there who's wages we can afford and who are an upgrade or at least a player with potential to be better who can come into the squad now. I think that's fair enough

No,you are right. There have been differing views. But...

If we end up with Adebayor, Falcao/Hulk and Diarra then I will be applauding Levy and not Redknapp.
