Perhaps you'd do well to acquaint yourself with the English language, as you appear to have no idea what 'irony' means. If I were using irony, I might describe you as an intelligent person who has the wit and will to check things out for himself.

I'm not questionning Levy's commitment to signing a striker; I'm just sceptical that he is in Portugal. Why would the chairman feel the need to travel there when deals can be negotiated using phones, emails and faxes from anywhere in the world, including from a beach in Florida.

Are you serious? You think that the Chairman would carry out and conclude the biggest transfer deal in the clubs History, lying on a Beach with a daquiri in hand?

For all of the aspects involved in this potential deal, it is imperative that the best negotiator at the club is there in person, if for nothing else than to show the player(s) involved that we deem them so important that the top man would be involved in getting them.

If nothing else it shows the right amount of respect.
