He was injured and missed the Scotland game - but there were pictures of him training on the OS on Friday

Up to about three seasons ago I collated all the ITK, and very little of what was posted came to be, even that from Archibald on SO, who's probably been the most reliable of all over the years. It may well have been the case that the club expected to offload Hutton and co last week. If that's what Mystery heard, and he passed it on in good faith, is it his fault if it didn't happen?

Despite numerous explanations over the years it appears that an awful lot of people have fuck all idea of what 'ITK' means.

If you'd read the very next paragraph after the one you'd bolded, I quite clearly stated that Mystery isn't being blamed. We all understand how ITK works and we all understand how transfer negotiations work, and how difficult Levy can be to deal with.

And when an ITK comes out and says we've put a bid in for a player, we don't automatically consider the ITK a liar if we haven't signed that player by the end of the week.

But when we're told so and so will be gone by the weekend, and so and so hasn't moved and doesn't seem close to a move at all, then you can surely understand the frustration involved when we're told something will happen by this day, only for this day to come and go without anything happening.

That's the very reason adiepf rapidly descended from ITK into a punchline on the forum. If an ITK speaks in definites, the readers take it as definite. When the information doesn't come to pass, questions get asked about the information.

And it's worth pointing out that, at least from what I can tell, everyone has been respectful towards Mystery, even if they've raised questions about what he's posted.

Although I'm unsure why this discussion is happening now, as he only stated that Levy was going to Portugal.

I think we all just need a signing and for our season to actually get under way. Then people can aim their frustrations at Gomes/Benni/Jenas/Palacios/Crouch/Harry etc, rather than each other.

So nothing? But no worries. Little is going to get done on the weekend, typically. Probably lots of behind the scene stuff interrupted by matches and such. But remember what I predicted almost a month ago. It all kicks off on Monday because everybody, having had their first game, will start to panic and prices with drop/rise accordingly and we will see plenty of movement. By Monday EOB, definitely see some movement. That's not ITK, I am the most un-ITK person here. But it's just sensible considering the market. I know its been frustrating, but its going to a week a lot you need.



Okay, just saw the Falcao business. It would seem pretty evident to me that Mystery is probably on the mark wit that one. Atletico bids.....that must have alerted us. Doesn't mean we can meet valuations, but Levy is smart enough to try and work on it. Hopefully he comes away with something. If not, at least a lot of you can't say we tries.

I am not up to date on any rumors, but the MLS'ers I know were texting me today and it seems all about getting somebody to take Angel. Is that still the sense here?

Yeah. They are only allowed 3 players on a high wage and need to shift one before they can bring Keane in which I didn't know. So looks like it will be double hard for this deal to go through tbh
