here is some ITK that was in here and seemed to have missed the read only section...(sorry if they are all not deemed itk)

Archibald on SO, re Modric's supposed transfer request...
Rog,

can you confirm when this was??

As not this morning and unless his agent has done it whilst he was on plane its very odd
&
I have never ever commented negatively on Rogers info and wont now but this is just bizarre!

Been told Modric has not handed in a transfer request...There is a lot of interest in Mata but like Rossi he seems satistfied at his current club unless Barca come along...Harry really wanted Downing but not for 20 million...Also Harry wants Adebayor

Another update... As far as my source knows Modric himself did NOT hand in a transfer request. Either his agent did on his behalf or it is just more bullshit from the media like the Dawson nonsene

Roger M is normally spot on, and I often hazard a guess that he is a Journo, weirdly even someone I may know. But unless a certain airline has fitted WiFi or he gave it at 32,000 feet I haven't heard anything before they left. I text my contact (who the mods here know who it is) and they certainly didn't know.

If hes timed it through his agent then he's a shit. Don't want him in our nice pure chrisp shirt. Is he still in the OS shirt ads still? Just a thought?

I do know that DL is working on selling and buying, deffo trying to sell. 100% trying to sell, even loan with loaning club paying 100% of wage.

As for Blue and Yellow? LOL!! Not a clue

He HAS put it in.

It WILL be ignored.

Palacios is the closest to leaving atm..Should be confirmed by the end of next week..A number of loan deals going to happen mainly for the younger players but after the tour of South Africa. This week and last week Harry and the coaching staff been monitoring the progress of the likes of Livermore, Naughton, Bostock and others..

Roger Morgan has said Gallas isn't going to SA because of calf problems

Yay. I made a roundup. Which means it has at least one faulty thing about it lifeof

Went to see United vs. Revolution tonight. Will have some things to say on it in GF. But NOOOOOOO to Berbatov if any links are true. God, was he that fucking lazy for us. No wonder United fans think he's shit.

Liverpool continue to splash the cash, 20mil for Downing and Higuain next on their list according to reports, really is getting depressing.

Soooo.... 42 pages.... what were the highlights, anyone?!

Sandro out for 3 months? Did I read that correctly? Gutted :(

From what I've read, the Brazilians have said that an MRI scan shows some damage to his meniscus, and then suggests he'd be fit about 3/4 weeks after "the operation". My guess is he'll come back here, have an arthrocscopy ("the operation") that will a) diagnose the injury better than an MRI, and b) do some remedial work if necessary. That would be very similar to what Ledders has just undergone. Hopefully, then, back in training in 4 weeks?

Wait and see, I guess.

Hmmm. Back to training in 4 weeks wouldn't be so bad, I suppose. Back fighting fit by the end of August, could live with that.

I'm terrified we're gonna start the season with a central midfield pairing of Jenas and Parker. Christ on a bike!

Highuain to Liverpool..... Couldnt take that. Surely we could have more pull with our attractive football and could afford the price tag. Someone of this calliber I think we should and could afford to break the salary cap to attract, rather than missing out on players like

Dont stress as its 7 weeks to go Kendall.....

This will go down right to the wire this time more than any other window due to the new regulations.

Also the 40 yr old gk will be our number 1.

I think the reason people are worried is because before 'the wire' we have a home game against Everton, an away game at United and a home game against City (and presumably some sort of European shenanigans at some point).

I've been very defensive of our transfer policy so far this window and obviously the fat lady isn't even warming up yet but the deadline for our transfers should always have been the 13th rather than the 31st August.

With no players seemingly close to leaving and none looking like arriving any time soon I can see why people are concerned about our transfer policy.

I have faith that Levy and Harry will sort it, but it's getting towards the time when that faith will be tested.

doesnt it nark you that Liverpool, Man u - even sunderland, stoke, are doing reasonable (I'm not suggesting we would want those players) business early and we're playing hardball in some negotiations it seems. :bang:

i just worry we'll go backwards this year while everyone spends like billy-o to get them up the league ladder

20 teams in the league, only about 4 have done anything.

Look at Villa, not only have they done nothing but they got weaker!

Why do people think it does any good to moan until the window shuts, particularly when they have no idea what is going on within the club and what efforts are being made to sign players. Yes, we may fuck this up but does constant whinging change anything.

We have two Europa league games in August. We play:
Everton on Saturday
Europa Leage Thursday
Mau Utd on Monday
Europa League Thursday
Man City Sunday

5 games in 2 weeks. Fast start to the season, tough league games, tricky Europa games, and all while still trying to build our squad for the forthcoming season? Shambolic if that is the case.
