I'm honestly extremely surprised none of our top 4 rivals have tried to gazump us for berahino, just for the sake of screwing us over...it's so obvious he's our only option at this point in the window, and if we don't get him wed be left incredibly thin at striker. Our season would be done if Kane got injured at all.

I think that is exactly what is happening. I reckon the big clubs are all in the background suggesting they might bid and that's why we are in a holding pattern.

None of them necessarily want to bid, they have better options to follow first, plus they all worry about his attitude and if he can sustain last years form at a bigger club.

In the end I don't see a bigger club coming in... unless theyve buggered up some other deal. It's just a matter of offering enough if we want him.

Kramer was a no weeks ago if you'd paid attention. Just guesswork now. It'll be Bender, Illamarendi or ... meltdown.

We would still need to see 2-3 more out - after Soldado.

I can't see that being a problem, two are effectively gone and its not hard to imagine a good late bid coming in for Dembele or Townsend.

Just know that when I'm speaking to my other half I see Danny Glover's face, and hear only talk of German defensive midfielders...
