if we dont get a striker (at least 1) in for the newcastle game then Levy should resign due to negligence, 2 years in a row, had enough of it now...

Negligence? Really?

If he's been negligent in the last few years god knows where we would be if he was competent.

Believe me you don't get the club in the shape it's in now with a new stadium on the horizon, a fantastic new training facility, huge commercial sponsors lining up to pay us shed loads of cash and competing with teams with far more money than us on the pitch by being negligent.

Maybe your dictionary has a different definition of negligence than mine. But if so yours is wrong. We all want a new striker...of course we do. But FFS grow up a bit and stop throwing around words like 'negligence' when you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Right...off to work :)

Seriously some people need to HTFU !
Would you prefer no news and sensational tweets and daily fail shit to the real story?
I will be positive when there is positive news!
Life isn't always sweetness and roses!
Cheers x

I'd prefer the real story to be that we're buying a striker.

Could be because of the EU. Not allowed Duty free from member countries anymore. Definetely the formation of the EU to blame here.

i cant blame anybody for losing it in some way or the other...its just unacceptable were heading into a v.important season with a weaker team than last season weak areas still not addressed. ( RW cover, strikers and modric saga/replacement ) now unless the top ITK's are on a monster wind up i can see why the majority are pissed and fingers are being pointed. Take the rough with the smooth ;)

Krajkar got a game when the month ended in Z, Corluka was on loan, having Pav on the pitch was like playing with 10 men, Pienaar was at Everton or injured, Saha and Nelson played cameo's. We didn't have RW cover last season, we've replaced Krankjar with Sigurrdson, we've replaced a crocked King with Vertonghen.

And Modric hasn't left yet.

So, apart from Ade not being announced just yet, how are we weaker? Huddlestone is getting back to fitness, Caulker is now in the fold, so our defence and midfield are, arguably, stronger than last season. Bring in Ade and we are, once again arguably, stronger than last season, particularly if you consider that Kane has every chance of being as effective, or more so, than Pav.

Before you say it, I'm assuming that if we keep Modric he will maintain a performance level at least on a par with last season, what with him being the model professional he's been touted as.

Yes, I am biting my tongue a tad here!

So whilst we may not have upgraded on players in the manner that Cheatski have, we also don't have their resources. Also look at who they have bought, if there's rhyme or reason behind their purchases it's way beyond my comprehension. The goons may have brought in two strikers but is that an upgrade on RVP? Suarez and Carroll weren't exactly an upgrade on Torres for Liverpool were they?

The opinion of some on here seems to go along the lines of identify player, make inquiry, ask price, agree price, re-agree price when goalposts are moved, pay price, pay bigger price when other team comes in and sod the financial consequences, slaughter Chairman/Manager/Player if they fail, identify different player, ask price, pay price, ad infinitum until we strike pay dirt.

Must be a few out their with access to the Royal Mint methinks, or they've cracked the art of growing money tree's.

I agree with the majority of your post but can't get on board with this i'm afraid. Any time he has played with the first team he has shown nothing to say he would score as many goals as Pav who, despite his shortcomings, knew how to stick the ball in the net.

Berbatov for 5m anyone? I am definitely up for that at this point in time!

Not for me. Berbs burnt his bridges when he left.
I don't like the idea of re-signing players on the whole, once they've gone...they're dead to me! DEAD TO ME!
There are very few that I'd welcome back.

Maybe it's just the mood I'm in this morning?!

Yep, resigning, or re-signing:), either way I agree. 'Don't go back'. It's such a temptation of course, but it's not the same river anymore.
