Good morning everyone!

Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. You know what the fellow said – in Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace – and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. So long Holly.

The Third Man.

A veiled reference to the signing of a new left back, moving on to our second back-up alternative in a key position, or merely you inviting another gentleman to an evening of rectal carnage at your place?

I think we all know the answer to that. You hideous, appalling man.

Hugo is off. Our 3rd man to be stolen from us by Man U.....or is it Real Madrid? Hence the chaos and gloom. Borgias are the richest, most corrupt family in the history of erm Families!

Off to work now. Hopefully it will actually be a reference to a large pop that A&C has overnight.

Before i get banned @Archibald&Crooks is this a cryptic? Lol
If I say no people will ignore it and guess away anyway because despite what people say, deep down, proper deep down, right at the magical point located dead centre of their testes, you know (or maybe not), the part that controls how far their eyes roll back when they hit their vinegar strokes, they love it. This will result in a load of guesses.

If I say yes see above.

So basically a whole storm of crap could be heading our way but could have a silver lining.....someone off?

The second part implies this is sometimes needed so facilitate improvement......no idea who the hell Holly is supposed to refer to :cautious:

Mind you, at least there's no bloody cabbages this time :D

The quote is in reference to -

Harry Lime (Orson Welles) attempts to convince his old friend Holly Martins (Joseph Cotten) to join him in his underground criminal affairs.

Could it be one of our own players is trying to convince a friend to join us?!

Could be Alderweireld on Schneiderlin, could be one of the Belgians on Mirallas.

I'll dip in later to see whether any of this makes sense. Unsolvable cryptics seem to rule. Possibly there should be a dedicated thread?
