It's tapping up, surly we've got grounds the report Man Utd??
Bit naive to think we don't do it as well IMO, every club does it, maybe not directly but through third parties....im not saying its right, but its the way of the football world.

Dier new contract on the table. (Not for RO)

Poch has told Levy if any players want to leave they can. He only wants players that will die for the shirt.

Love poch! Such a hard ass! It's his way or fuck off!

I don't understand how teams that finished behind us aren't under pressure to keep their players. Why isn't Rashford unsettled or Mane?

I swear we invite this on ourselves by not shutting it down quickly enough. We should just report Utd like Southampton did Liverpool.

I loved KW however for us to sell at £50m who isn't even world class is good business. I am gutted great servant. We need to spend wisely now on a decent RB. Enjoy Kyle but hope you win nack all mate:bored:

Because they are not wanted by clubs who will offer to double their salary.

Sad but true.

Because no-one wants Mane or Rashford.

Prepare for Adrian Durham to lay into Levy and the club on TalkShite calling us a small-minded club blah blah fucking blah when he has no idea what's happened behind the scenes

Let him keep calling us small minded despite spending less and still finishing above City in the last two consecutive seasons.

I doubt that the club or us fans would be too bothered about that. In fact it would make us look better by showing anyone, who's bothered, that we can achieve better despite selling some of our assets, at arguably over-inflated prices, to the rich and desperate clubs.

I've not seen it mentioned in ages, but didn't Poch and Walker have a bit of a miff off at the end of the season? If he's rattled Poch's scrotum then he has to go, and for a substantial fee, so consequently I'm happy with this deal.
Levy will need to take a look at the wage structure soon though, but I do think we'll never match the oil clubs, so you'd have to question how much we do to keep up.

It's mentioned all the time, they had some level of a falling out in March but it's assumed because they're both respectable professionals they largely keep out of the media and Walker probably would have played even if not sold this summer.

Yankspurs do have a point that selling Walker would weaken us.

I know we look to bring in Pereira with money to spare, but there is no guarantee he will ever succeed in the PL. The rest will go toward Barkley I'm sure, but we should be able to finance that purchase from the sales of Fazio, Bentaleb and Sissoko regardless. Not to mention the crazy TV deals.

Hopefully Levy will try for something special since we look to be very much in the green this window, but if not I'd rather we just kept Walker and bought in Barkley as an upgrade on Sissoko.

Obviously. This is true of literally every player until they succeed in the PL. This was true of Walker when we signed him from Sheffield. And by this logic we would not have signed Alli, Erisken, Verts, Ald, Lloris...(I can go on).

That probably expired a few years ago - he's been with us 9 years, and I'd think a sell-on clause is normally for around 5 years.
Could be wrong though.
9 years? Ah! Clever Daniel. He's saving us a few bob on the testimonial due next year. We underestimate him, you know ;)

We really need an incoming now that Walker is off. I get the feeling Barkley will be the first.

I remember on Soccer AM someone suggested Walker has the worst hygiene at the club so he wont be missed the smelly bastard. Looking forward to Rose vs Walker this season though.

So those are not tattoos on his arms? :cautious:

No. I care about actually strengthening and showing ambition. But we dont. We weaken instead.

Maybe you're thinking about the pre-Poch years.

We've actually been improving our league position, year on year, for the last three seasons despite the disadvantage of having less money to spend as well as the cost of the new stadium to consider.

We've actually punched above our weight and broke several club records in the season just ended despite the disadvantages against the bigger / richer clubs.

It's going to be tougher in the coming two seasons as we would be having the disadvantage of playing our home games at unfamiliar stadiums - first Wembley and then the new WHL.

I think we should give the club some leeway and be patient for the next 2 seasons or so. Our main targets, for the near future, would probably be to qualify for CL for the following season and maybe nick a cup. Anything more and I'd consider that a huge bonus.

Or when he paces down the wing in a great counter attack leaving the opposition team exposed....... only to stop and pass backwards/inside and absolutely kill the counter attack, letting opposition to catch back up.... or to hit the first defender that side with his cross or cross it out the other side for a throw in/goal kick
