Don't think the club really care that much about appeasing a few hundred fans in a forum mate.

Think you are very wrong there. I'm pretty sure several of the ITK's are club controlled. Controlled leaks if you will, to try and keep fans happy, prepare for sales etch.

Or when he paces down the wing in a great counter attack leaving the opposition team exposed....... only to stop and pass backwards/inside and absolutely kill the counter attack, letting opposition to catch back up.... or to hit the first defender that side with his cross or cross it out the other side for a throw in/goal kick

Those drag race cars at Santa Pod are pretty rapid but it's the ones that go round the bends and turns that really thrill.

Very much doubt it, I bet a tiny proportion of Spurs fans use these sorts of forums, or even know what ITK even is, if they want info getting out they just feed the mainstream press via agents...I just don't see why they'd bother.

I'd agree, but need to consider what appears here often appears in the papers soon enough

So naive :/ One piece of ITK and it spread to tons of sites, gossip among fans and most importantly papers print stories based on all of this.

Better leave it at that before we totally derail the thread, but pinch of salt and all that (y)

No doubt the press keep their eye on the ITK, but that's their job really...to actually suggest some ITKs are actually stooges is a bit silly imo...tin foil hat sort of territory.
There's much easier ways to reach much higher numbers of people.

The Walker price is fantastic for us, by any stretch of the imagination. He is at his peak in terms of ability, if his pace goes he doesn't have much to back it up, he can only really play RB/RWB, and when not on top form he can drop a defensive ricket.

If we were paying £50-55m for him from City to solve our right back issue, would we be happy?

Can't fault the logic here. I'm just disappointed we are selling a player at his peak to a rival.

To be fair, i'd be delighted if it was the other way round despite the price. It makes me shudder thinking about us being in the same position as City without any recognisable right back and having to go into the market for not one but two full backs. It's all about how desperate the situation is. We should be very grateful we've got Trippier and a promising academy product so if we do leave ourselves short not a great deal of damage has been done.

Which is why I think this deal is entirely on our terms.

So we started hearing rumors that Kyle's agent was sounding out a move to City back in March? April? In the middle of a title challenge?

I don't care if it's 40 or 50 or 60. I don't care if Poch wants him to go or not.

For me, he can't leave fast enough, and I'm glad we took City to the cleaners.

Yeah, but the argument is that at least it's better to sell him now when we know it is down hill from here. Especially when his peak still caused polarization among the fans. More painful if we thought he still had a lot of potential, like if we sold him after winning PFA Young Player of the Year.

And 50m for Bus-Conductor to stop whinging about him. That's worth it right there.

If you were Poch you'd definitely be thinking the same wouldn't you?

Here's another thought. Some players are irreplaceable (Kane, Alderweireld, etc), Poch has probably looked at that and thought "Walker is excellent but he still has his weaknesses and I can get a replacement in and work with that, no problems". Perhaps I am being a little naive but I don't think he feel the same if it was Kane or Alderweireld - perhaps Dier too.

Tottenham Hotspur football club with a billionaire owner you can be the best/hardest employee for 10 plus years and still be on minimum wage. And yet a new guy starting for another company on the same site will earn double your wage. Are we a Irish company in disguise?

I don't get the "Irish" connotation ? Could you please explain ?
