You'd expect the two ins with the Walker money to be Barkley and Pereira. Then Lopez for McGee, Mawson for Wimmer and Foyth as a development signing. Then with previous ITK alluding to two non like for like signings, one as mentioned would be Barkley and then you'd expect the other to be someone in the ilk of Son.
All that would be brilliant, but not a chance it happens imo. Don't think there will be more than 2 in.

A wide forward to go with foyth Lopez pereira Barkley and a more experienced wimmer replacement.

Someone like son who can play 3 forward positions and we are well set then I also expect more from vinny Gkn. Maybe Marcus Edwards getting games this to go with a fully fit Erik lamela again and we are in much better shape

The latest bleat from the Goat explains some of the curious wording in yesterday's articles about Dier. Seemed odd how it was reported that "United believe that Dier has his heart set on a move", rather than simply "the player is keen on the move". It was clear that the stories were coming from Utd's end but now it makes sense for the press to be making the source of the news so obvious, so as to try and appease DL somewhat.

I just popped over to Bluemoon (Man City forum) to check what they were saying in the Kyle Walker thread and there was this one chap called "twosips" who is apparently ITK with Man City and he said;

That's what they think ;):sneaky:.

Levy will no doubt have both hands on the rug, so to speak.

Why just two? Walker will almost certainly be replaced, and we've already been strongly linked with at least three other players by the media and ITK.

I think a lot people discount Pau as a transfer when saying things like 2 in. Probably Foyth too if he's heading back for 6-12 months.

The ITK was that were aiming for two in, plus replacements for players that leave.
McGee - Lopez
Walker - Pereira
Wimmer? - Mawson?
Sissoko - Barkley
2 extras, Foyth and a pacy forward.

Apologies if I've been out of it. But is "Sissoko out" wishful thinking or based on anything?

So Pereira to replace Walker, Foyth to replace Wimmer and Barkley to replace Sissoko. The only one of those that's definitely an upgrade is Barkley to be honest. I don't see how that can be considered a particularly successful window; it more or less leaves us where we started.

I still think a quality, pacy attacking midfielder/forward is a necessity. We've previously had ITK on Lemar, but no one else we've had ITK on so far has had those attributes, apart from maybe Josh King, and I'm still of the opinion that he would be a pretty underwhelming signing.

You are an expert on Pereira and Foyth then ?

Do they? That seems a bit odd. I'd include anyone that gets added to the first team squad.

Foyth to replace Wimmer...seriously?

I think the generalisation of just need one or two in doesn't usually factor in making a loan permanent or signing a player to join in a later window.

I highly doubt those saying we just need a couple are talking about Pau and Foyth!

But you definitely implied the other two weren't upgrades or comparable.
I'm just commenting on the ITK we've had, which indicates that those are the likely ins and outs at this stage (to be honest there hasn't been too much ITK on Sissoko so that's maybe wishful thinking). It seems somewhat optimistic to think that Pereira will instantly become the best RB in the league, as Walker currently is, whereas most people seem to think Foyth won't even be considered a first team squad member initially, so in that sense is not comparable with Wimmer.
