Hahaha reporting clubs does absolutely nothing so whats the point of it?

Let's ask Virgil van Dijk and Liverpool what they think
I seem to recall that an investigation found that Liverpool had done nothing improper and that the latest rumours have them still interested in signing van Dijk during this window. So, assuming that I wasn't hallucinating at the time (entirely possible), yankspurs probably has a point.

I've really enjoyed watching Walker play. I've been sitting a few rows back from the front of the East Stand at its northern end and so have been well placed to see him at his best, running at and past defenders and then recovery quickly when attacks break-down.

But Trippier is more effective in attack and better suited to being a wing-back if we play 3 at the back.

And the real question is whether we should pay £50m to sign Walker and the answer to this is clearly no.

So I'll miss watching him but selling him is the right decision.

Let's hope the money is spent wisely.

Using some of it to up the wages of our top players would not be a dumb idea.

We had ITK that Walker had gone behind Poch's back a fair while back didn't we? Someone definitely said it had happened.

Are we aiming to get a new RB (don't need to know who) in or just banking on KT or KWP?

edmonton on walker:
There is no way he was staying or we would want him to. Just took Citeh a long time to understand the price.

not seen an update from cabinessence although he has posted several times today on other subjects

Love that.....'understand the price' :ROFLMAO::LOL:

That's the kind of transfer Levy lives for.....

Think you are very wrong there. I'm pretty sure several of the ITK's are club controlled. Controlled leaks if you will, to try and keep fans happy, prepare for sales etch.

Cabinessence:

Anyone not mentioned not discussed so really don't know

Dier not going
Jenssen not going
3rd striker to be signed
another RB to be signed
Some promising young players to be picked up but no megabucks marquees heading our way
Much to be done last knockings as ever.
know its not what some may not want to hear but that's it ....

just remembered Walker thing is he had a bit of a tummy on him which Poch asked him to lose and Walker came across a bit gangsta so goodbye Walks.

Rose had similar confrontation for whatever reasons the year before but showed Poch he was up for it hence still here
Theres always next season

On Barkley:

Sorry Bob but bit slurry at the time so forgot to ask about him

Josh King:

I mentioned Josh King but he just said yes maybe, which means he didn't know

If this is true then I'd expect something like...

Promising youngsters: Juan Foyth, Vincent Marcel, Pau Lopez

New RB: Pereira

3rd Choice striker: who knows

Barkley on deadline day.

Great info, I think it's safe to assume that we are in for Barkley in addition to the others given the amount of ITK we've had on him.

Keeping the bulk of the squad together, replacing Walker adequately, and bringing in Barkley and another attacker plus some promising youngsters would be a decent window. A lot would ride on who the third striker winds up being, if it's some shit-hot talent I think most will be pleased but the moaning will be unbelievable (and possibly justified) if it's someone like Josh King or Andre Gray.

If we were to sign Barkley earlier then that would be a very decent transfer window.

Pretty underwhelming let's be honest. A downgrade at right back, maybe Barkley and some kids. Maybe the 3rd striker might be someone more exciting but sounds like if it's not King it will be someone of that stature, which doesn't exactly set the pulse racing. I don't know why but I thought having a 90k stadium to fill they might go for one player to excite the fans.

Agreed. However, it just seems like one of those deals where someone has to blink first, and Levy will know that.

I also think that the new striker is very important. If it's a young, hungry player with pace who can carry us up the pitch then I will be happy!

I don't even want to think about deadline day.

I developed a severe allergy to round about the time Sissoko stopped taking Everton's calls.

I am glad we got rid of Walker feels like it's been over us for weeks and now we have a new slate to build on.
Plus Kyle now has immense pressure to deliver at City which may mess up what they are building on.
I just hope his replacement will be up to scratch, I know it will be Trips or maybe Pereira but hopefully Poch can work his magic.

I'm glad we're looking at another forward as we haven't had too much ITK on that.

If we get Pereira (otherwise use KWP), Barkley and a forward as well as a couple of low key youngsters then that's a pretty decent window overall for me.

Personally wasn't holding my breath for a striker so that's interesting ITK

another net profit for Levy this window it seems - good on him he must be happy
I've no problem with the idea of us making a profit on transfer dealings, but I do have a problem with this idea that seems to be eminating from the club that it's going to be difficult to improve the first XI this summer so we just won't bother.

We could feasibly make £100m in sales this summer, that's more than enough to add some quality if we're clever. People like Mane, Payet, Kante were picked up for relative peanuts when coming over here and all three had an immediate impact for their clubs.

Time will tell whether they will prove me wrong and make some astute signings but I'm less hopeful than I was at the end of the season.
