This one is quite simple really

Manure will pay what small levy wants for Aldereweld

Small levy will not pay what manure wants for Martial

We will end up buying a cheap alternaive

While manure will end up with one of the best CB in the world

-----------------------

That isn't reasoned debate. It's the post of a child having a tantrum because they don't think they're going to get what they want.
Or perhaps of a child having a tantrum because someone disagreed with him? ?

I don't know why Cookiemonster is getting so much abuse (some of it, personal) for this post, especially when the scenario he's predicting is hardly beyond the realms of possibility: Hercules has already said that DL won't be paying the £70-80 million United will demand for Martial, and rightly or wrongly, I'm sure Levy wouldn't hesitate to sell Toby to the Mancs if they're stupid enough to pay the sort of money he'd demand. Would anyone be surprised if we fail to land Martial, and Alderweireld end up at United? I certainly wouldn't. So can't we all have a reasoned debate about that without resorting to name-calling and bully-boy tactics?

because we WANT to sell Toby, the only thing we don't/shouldn't do if it's to Man U is sell for less than we want

the people replying to the troll have seen the info that Poch wants rid, so providing we sell him for what we want, we are not bending over, because we will be selling a player we don't want (especially the club don't want). what is so hard to understand about that

Kind of agree with this. If we make £25m more than we would otherwise then we should probably do it. We are not naive enough surely to think United could not go out and buy a pretty decent CH from somewhere else for that amount of money. That’s an awful amount of pride. We all saw what good it did West Brom after all.

Ah so therein lies the nub. Well how about re-reading whilst subtracting the "small" (and your corresponding outrage) from his post, and then decide if it seems more reasoned?
No, it still ignores the facts. multiple ITK sources have said that Toby and his Brain trust fucked us about and reneged on a deal so Poch wants him gone.

Calling Levy short, bald or whatever demonstrates an inferiority complex from the poster, lowers the tone, plays the man rather than the ball and is just a dick move.

It was a daft post but some of the responses are just as bad, words like hate and calls to report him to the mods lol everyone’s entitled to an opinion however silly, there’s some delicate people on here

Didn’t previous itk say Barcelona was the only bid at 22 million euro? How do you play hardball with Toby when your options are 80 or 22 million?

So what? That’s his prerogative, disagree all you like but I don’t see why different opinions upset people

As it is everyone elses to take issue with what appears (on the face of it) to be snidey asides over what may or may not happen over the course of the next 60 days. If someone is so anti-spurs and against everything and doom and glooming all that is rumoured to be potentially happening, maybe city is a better choice of club to follow in future as its a far easier ride im sure (at least while oil is so valuable). Pessimism is one letter shy of pissimism.

All seems pretty straight forward to me IF Martial is a top target for us then negotiation on the basis of no Martial no Alderweireld is absolutely the way to go we do not have to sell him especially as many have pointed out to a rival.

If he isn't out top target (he may well still be a second choice) it still makes sense to delay any deal for Toby until that target is secured as it makes our negotiation to sell him from a position of strength (i.e. we don't need martial and we don't need to sell) and demanding him delay's the process. On the other hand we sell Toby to them and we extract top money then we have that 'in the bank' when we are negotiating the other top target, making that all the more expensive.

Seems like standard Levy to me. Just a thought!
