Yep. Although it hasn't worked for him in England, Gio is proven on a world stage and in Spain.

Hulk on the other hand is a limited player who uses his bulk to bully weak Portugese defenders.

IMO Gio could be Falcao quality for Porto, whereas Hulk will quickly be counteracted by opposition and will fade into a journeyman.

I think I'm more proven on the world stage than Giovani dos Santos.

I think Dan meant in terms of his exploits in the World Cup And CONCACAF Gold Cup.

I'm one of those who thinks you get a lot of unjust stick Dan considering you take a lot but give nothing back, but here its fully justified.

it's reported there is £2m bid from Blackburn for Robbie, what's the point of selling him for £1.8m, I'm sure Keane sale would be the biggest loss financially.

Maybe Keane preferred moving to LA. The sale of Keane has always been mostly about getting rid of his wages anyway, no?

For some strange reason i cant understand it looks like Falcao wants a move to At Madrid who will be lucky if they make top 6 this season with the team they've got.
The good part is that he himself says he wants to leave Porto and dreams of playing in Spain, England or Italy.
He also mentioned that he was fit for today's match and didnt start due to other issues.
Can DL make this happen? Would be incredible. We are a better option than at madrid at the moment.

I know its in Spanish but at least it's a link to his own quotes.

two questions i have wrt falcao:

1. why would he sign a new contract if he really wanted to leave porto?
2. why would porto be willing to sell when they have just got him to sign said contract?

Maybe they were expecting a big offer from Chelsea because of AVB going there, but after them getting Lukaku would be willing to sell him for his previous buyout clause. Maybe a 25 plus Gio could be a good deal for both?
