watch walker decline in manc. i like him but i always thought he was a dumbass player. i would say he arguably the best, though bellerin under poch tutelage would murder walker. fucking walker. at least we knw how to defend him. just make him go left and he will do a brain fart. cant wait to see his career decline and drop out of england swuad, then start rotting on the bench, pissing his prime away.

At least we're not bitter

Yeah, mess with Poch and suffer the ignonimity of doubling, nay maybe tripling your wages. A harsh lesson for the rest to learn there...

Spot on, this is the problem. Good discipline in isolation from Poch but when the punishment is getting paid more money than everyone in our team, it's less of a deterrent and more of an escape route.

I know 50m isn't Bale or Lukaku money, but why were we not out buying before this was done like we've done in the past. Now everyone knows we're flush and we haven't signed a single player.

You're assuming that we haven't. I know no different, but who knows, could already be well underway. Would we really announce being that flush with cash only to have other clubs jack up prices. Pereira is different, at least we know there's a set fee in place if it gets to that. As for Barkley, his contract is running down, Everton can't take the moral high ground much longer, £25m turned down now, becomes next to nothing in January when he's into the last six months.

Not really. I'd prefer to strengthen the team but if Poch wants him badly then oh well. We have to keep him happy. So if we continue to sell our best players, we have to buy who Poch wants.

Walker wasn't anywhere near one of our best players. Only dispensable member of the first team.

Poch didn't trust him in the big games.

But why should it be about punishment? Maybe Poch doesn't want him around because once he starts questioning the coaches and the tactics he won't do what's required of him on the pitch. And if one part of the team isn't doing its job then everyone else is compensating and we most likely lose. Would i rather have Walker or Trippier? Probably Walker at the moment. But would i rather have a half-assed Walker or Trippier? That's easy, it's Trippier every time

But everyone knows everyone is flush. Every PL club has a fortune now from the new tv deal, hence why prices have gone so mad this summer. Having sold Walker makes no difference at all.

Also being the only right back in a team full of superstars and pretty much guaranteed at least one PL meddle in the next 2/3 years as well as actually challenging for CL. Its hardly a harsh lesson. Its going to be a very, very long time before we are considered a serious CL contender. It was a wise move for him and one he pushed towards. I just hope it doesn't become an epidemic amongst our players.

Trippier hasn't really had a great chance to show us how good he is. I think he'll end up being a more than adequate replacement for Kyle.

I've just seen two police cars with blues and twos on heading past Manchester Piccadilly in the direction of the Etihad.

Coincidence, or has someone phoned in a robbery?

Sad to see him go but rather him than Danny Rose. Testament to the squad depth that a player of Walkers quality can be let go and yet we probably won't even notice his absence. Rather him than Anyone else in the starting back four or rest of the pitch to be honest.

Seems to me that we're acting & thinking like a CL Team nowadays. Makes you wonder how the Yanited fans copped when their Manager sold legends like Keane,Beckham & Ronaldo. Wonder how things turned out for them?

Good player, really don't like seeing him in the colours of to a rival but if he had fallen out with Poch for whatever reason he had to go I guess. Suspect it was the lure of £$€¥ at City to turn his focus at the end of last season myself.

Time to move on, Now we need some solid signings to keep the good ship Tottenham on track or a juicy ITK to keep all us addicts going.

In more exciting news ..... looks like there's a new design for the numbers on the back of the prem shorts this coming season. A little something to keep us going till the 'we are delighted ...' pops up on the OS.
