Missing the point. There is plenty of cover in the positions he plays. Walkers-Peters could be a complete disaster in the premiership or he could be another Ali. As a team going for the title next season I'm not sure we should take that risk.
Actually, you're missing the point. The Club hasn't confirmed that we're not getting in another right back and with Trippier, Dyer and KW-P, we're clearly not desperate.

Edit - ^ ^ ^ ^ ^*

I think @Indisguise is also talking about the absolute immediate necessity.

In my opinion, we should find the right replacement and we have a number of days or weeks to do so. The fact Trippier is there as a more than capable deputy or replacement ensures we don't have to panic act in the single day since Walker's departure.

I'm sure the club has been planning for this day since the spring and I'm confident they have things under control.

*It constantly amazes me how if there are 2 ways to read something then people assume it's the wrong way.

Here are my onions.

So we started last season, 12 months ago, with two highly capable and prepared senior RBs with PL experience. One RB was a little bit of a better fit than the other, who still had developing to do. Even so, didn't manage to win anything and we disgraced our selves in Europe.

Walker Peters may very well become PL/Senior ready over the scope of the upcoming season, but his readiness might still be the better part of a year away (or more?).

We would go from having one RB at his peak, and one PL ready RB but still with some developing to do, to having one RB hopefully peaking and one RB with out any trace of being in fact ready at the start of the season?

By the time they both fully blossom, we might be out of all competitions. It sounds too risky to me.

Hence I surmise, we are not done looking at RB options.

Poch obviously wants a number of players (a RB being one) and so far, although there is still time of course, we've failed to get a single one. Pre-season is well underway and there's still nothing even close from the evidence we have so far. There has been plenty of reports that Poch prefers to get players in for pre-season too. People are not thinking dynamically about the situation. Yes our squad is good as it stands (thank god) but as I said Poch still wants a number of players and it's all about backing him as much as possible. Do people also not understand that we've got one of the best managers we've ever had who could easily go elsewhere at any time if he feels unsettled and not trusted with transfer targets? Things might be rosy now for the optimists, but things could go south very quickly soon with an exodus of key players and staff.

Hate to be the doom-monger but the clock is ticking. We need to wake up a bit.

hertyid gave a thumbs up to this:

Still believe Trippier will be the replacement, he signed a new 5 year deal and now Walker has left it would be a bit of poor show of confidence in him to go out a buy a new 1st choice.
I think we will buy a right back but it will be a back up. Not sure Pereira qualifies as a back up at circa £22m but you never know I guess.

The ITK from Poch himself does, he's has openly stated we need to improve our squad for this season....So far we haven't done that. Walker has had a thinly veiled dig at wanting to win trophies and you can bet he won't be the only one with itchy feet if. There's still plenty of time left in the window so let's see what develops...

Oh. I'd seen him say "we need to improve". I hadn't thought he'd said "we need to improve our squad". If you can point me towards that (PM probably better) that would be useful. Ta.

Yep. Unfortunately it seems as if there is a very high likelihood the players will be left disappointed though
Have we gone through a Premier League transfer window without signing anyone?

Thought not.

Has the club confirmed that we won't be signing players to strengthen the team and squad?

Thought not.

Is it possible that, with a month and a half of the transfer window open and a Chairman that is renowned for working hardest near the deadline, you're getting a little ahead of yourself?

Hmmm...

I don't disagree with the logic, but last season there wasn't a number one right back - there were 2 that were roughly on a par, and fought to start, like the left back position. I prefer that situation, to an established number one.

Think that's probably generous hindsight. I think there were clear number ones for both fullback slots.

I get the idea that the club is finding it hard to identify talent to improve the first team, but if that's the case then we should be loading up the bench with 21yos that have the potential to breakout and improve into those roles, like Alli, Dier, Eriksen, Kane and before that Bale did.

Did our performance drop when the "number ones" didn't play? Then, aside from a preference, they were roughly equal, weren't they?

I'm not expecting much and probably the signings we do make will be underwhelming to many, but I will reserve judgement until such signings are made or hopefully made.

Winks is definitely first team quality now. Almost certain that we'll see more of Onomah and KWP. Possibility of Marcus Edwards getting involved...

Of course - but ask yourself your question exactly 12 months ago. I doubt many would have said "they're equal". It was very much Walker and Rose as starters at the beginning of the season, it was only as the season dragged on did most fans climb on board the "all equal" train. Hence what I meant by generous hindsight.

The last time Poch trusted a youth full back he was sold to Manchester United for a record fee for a full back.

KWP is also a very promising England youth international, in fact coming off of a World Cup win. I'm very keen to see how he gets on going forward.

That said the little I've seen of Periera is very exciting and I think Poch could work wonders with him, has all the tools. The fact he can play both flanks is even better. I want us to get him ASAP but can see why we are not acting in desperation, as annoying as our current situation is.

Of course we need a new RB. Poch's system puts a tremendous workload on the wing backs. I like Trippier a lot but he isn't appropriate for certain matches. He's great against lesser teams who sit back and defend but he isn't so good defending himself so against the top teams a player like Pereira would be a better fit.

I also like KWP but we have plenty of competitions to bring him through in. He may even get a few appearances in the premier league this season but if Trippier gets injured I wouldn't be happy with him being our 1st choice against the likes of Liverpool and City. Nor would I be thrilled with Dier filling in in what is probably his weakest position.

If we want to win things we need squad depth, especially in the positions where the system we play makes the most demands. With our wage structure it is going to be very hard to improve our 1st XI but we can improve our squad and thus ensure a couple of key injuries or general fatigue do not end up ruining our season.

you raise a good point but I think there is more to it than that, for example you could make the argument we played just as good football with Davies in instead of Rose. In my honest opinion and it's the same for when Trippier replaced Walker and Davies replaced Rose but it shows the class of the system we play and how well a Pochettino managed side is. There is no way you could argue Rose is lesser than Davies and Walker is a better RB than Trippier

I don't really see the point in buying a new RB. Tripper is more than capable, but most importantly it's important that we keep let the young players get game time to show em there is a clear path to the first team at Tottenham if you buckle down and work hard. In this particular scenario that young player would be KWP.

The reason this is so important is that we will always lose financially to our nearest competitors, but what we can do is show the top talent around that they should come to us if they want a path to the first team. This is how we end up with the Allis of the world on the cheap.

We're linked with players like Sancho this summer and hopefully sign Sessegnon next summer. I'm sure these players wouldn't look twice at us if it wasn't for our history bringing through players, and instead opt for the big money.

edit: What's more important is us buying a top attacking midfielder to improve our squad so we don't have to put Sissoko on to "change the game"!
