hertyid on new rumours poch going to man u (i think alan brazil said so on talksport this morning or something):
I have been saying this for months[that jose is going to manu if/when lvg leaves]. It's done, ask any agent. Only question is whether Woodward pulls the trigger.
MP is not going there in a million years.
I'm confused how can it be done in the second sentence & if/when lvg leaves in the first & the third part only question is whether Woodward pulls the trigger..
So it's not done.. maybe very likely if LVG goes but if's don't make a done.. it either is or isn't done

Listening to the Guardian football podcast a fair while ago, they said that Mourinho had signed a pre-contract/contract already, and it was simply a case of the commercial side (woodward), battling against the footballing side (ferguson etc) who want to keep LVG. And that even if they keep LVG, they'd have to pay Mourinho £5m or something.

How much is true, I don't know. But by the sounds of it, technically it is 'Done'. Only united management are a mess and anything could happen.

I see it this way:

Moyes = Ferguson's pick. [Ed Woodward had no problem in binning him because he wasn't part of the process to hire him. He didn't believe in him then and certainly not after the 10 months they had together]

Van Gaal = Woodward's pick. [He wanted a well seasoned, successful manager to take the helm. A manager who has been at big clubs and knows to deliver under the expectation. Unfortunately for Woody the philosopher has done an awful job bullshitting his way through to mediocrity. Unfortunately for Woody his man has previous for this getting sacked from Barcelona, Bayern and Dutch National Team the first time round. No man likes to admit they got it wrong. Woodward is in a cross-roads.]

Pre-contract.. don't believe it for a second.. think it's rubbish designed to get hits & sell stories.. Utd had a longterm plan when they appointed LVG with a successor in mind.. I don't think they would rip-up that longterm plan for a short-term fix in Jose

I dont think they'd rip it up either but then again, this is utd. I could easily see them telling Giggs to wait a few years longer than planned.

Man Utd have Mourinho on retention. They will pay a penalty fee if they don't activate it by an agreed date.

There's no way he is real / barca standard,
He scores about 10 goals a season

Mason is a tough one, I'm sure an itk said he was one of poch's best lieutenants in the dressing room though. ie a trusted player

10 goals a season is very good for a #10 type. He's better than James at Madrid with 25% the hype.

The way they made it out was.

Commercial board want Mourinho. They need Champions League and trophies to maximise revenue, regardless of how you get it.
Football board want to keep LVG, appoint maybe Giggs etc when times right blah blah blah.

I don't really believe it, but nothing would surprise me about united. £5m to have Mourinho on retainer? I guess only they'd know if it was money well spent.

Under normal circumstances I wouldn't post this type of thing on here, but there has been a lot of discussion about so called ITK on Mason's injury today. Somewhere along these lines. May well be a pile of crap and I may need to bend over :inpain:, but this may be of interest. http://imgur.com/a/InZxP

A 'friend' of Mason's family.
The tweets in that link are absolutely fucking horrendous, I'm utterly ashamed of some fans. Complete ****s.

hertyid on masons injury: This ITK isn't strictly true. He injured his ankle against Chelsea in November and was out over Xmas before coming back in Feb. There was always an option for surgery but Mason and the club both felt it wasn't necessary. Ryan was also pressing for an outside chance of an England squad place. It's not uncommon for a player to delay surgery until the summer break. I don't think it changes anything about his ability to be a starter for us in the CL.

Can't believe we have such vile supporters. Inwardly wishing every horrific act to befall those gutless sh*ts. Sadly even that does them no justice. He is our player from our academy.
Every club has them. Some more than others..shame about ours.

In regards to Mason, I have always felt his best position is where Delle Alli plays. He has similar tenacity and movements and believe he could be a good back up for Delle Alli.

We felt before the season started we were a CM and a Striker short and so it proved to be the case, Alli and Mason aren't great in the midfield 2 so in effect we ended up only having 3 players for that position.

Dier (a bonus) Dembele (another bonus) and Bentaleb who fell away this season, Carroll just isn't quite good enough for where we want to be and certainly not in the midfield 2.

We were left short and were very lucky this season in regards to injuries, this has to be rectified this Summer.

There's a lot of whispers of UTD been sold in 2017

Giggs & Alegri were rumoured to be head of the que to succeed LVG when his contract finishes .. whether Alegri would still want it.. Juventus look to be building something..
As you say it's utd & you wouldn't know what they could do.. bow to fan pressure & appoint Jose or stay committed to rebuilding academy, first team squad & commercial interests.. then sell
