Morning all

Just over a week ago I passed the SC flat cap around but I thought i'd give it another go because the end of the transfer window draws near and a large number of you who haven't donated will skulk off until the January window. Don't do it. Stay and enjoy the madhouse that is the Spurs Chat forum on a matchday. After a bad result we offer cheap rope and rickety chairs, rubber knives at a discount and even specialist counselling from SC's resident padre.

So yeah, if you haven't donated at all, or didn't get around to it last time, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Just set up a monthly subscription at £7. Have you thought about getting folk to do that on a voluntary basis? Even £1 a month, if all the regular users did it, would cover costs? Don't know why I haven't done it before tbf as for most of us SC is far more valuable than Netflix or whatever, but we pay for one and not the other...

Cheers sloff. If everyone did it, we'd be sorted. It's something we've offered up as an option a few times and although I haven't got the numbers to hand, I think we've seen a few people do this the past couple of months or so.

I'm not sure why considering the pay for being a moderator is terrible.

Mind you I pretty much do fuck all anyway so I suppose it's fair.

I did this recently and it's a good idea.
Think of the trade-off of things you don't really need in your life & give the value to SC:
Do you or your family really need:
1. That last pint at 2am?
2. The wife's deodorant?
3. '60+ Mega Jugs' magazine?
4. Shoes?
5. A TV licence?

Course not. An easy trade-off.

i know its been mentioned a few times but i agree with qite a few on here that a small monthly subscription would be best. can we gauge opinion with a front page poll? i appreciate this has been talked about significantly recently. but if you get buy in from 60/70% of the people on here then it should be considered. im not saying make the site elitist an lock down access but. Make the site elitist and lock down the good bits.

Nah, keep it optional. You don't want to shut out casual posters, random ITKers, other club's fans etc.
Should be enough hardcore that chip in.

OK, monthly donation of a tenner set up. I know I don't post much, but read every day during silly season. Would hate to come back in Jan and find the doors locked and tumble weed blowing around. Keep up the great work all.

The issue for me is that while for some of us it's a small donation, for others, perhaps kids, or folk from poorer parts of the world, or just people already struggling to keep heads above water for whatever reason then it's unaffordable. I love the fact that this site is a community and the ethos which comes from that. Anyway, as it goes along, maybe more people will do the monthly thing and then the site will find equilibrium.

So a couple of snippets yesterday that indicate that for once it's not us screwing around! Maybe it's Kama from windows past biting us in the arse! Out of the two MM would be my preference, but if neither come off, was pleasantly impressed with Dier against Schalke, so maybe with some coaching we'll have enough for the time being.

Excited to get this show on the road tomorrow!!!
