After Gorgeous-Kevin I'd imagine it'll only be outgoing ITK.

It's the paradox.

Exciting transfer window (ala the Bale money signings) = crap season.
Dull transfer window = great season

I wouldnt say it's been dull - we just havent had much ITK which is evidence of a tighter ship being run in general imo which is fine by me. 3 new players signed already (well 2 confirmed and 1 almost certain) who all will have a full pre-season is fantastic.

I'm very very happy with how we appear to be doing our business now.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's been a very good TW in terms of acquisitions and having all our ducks lined up we'll before the beginning of the season, but as someone said earlier, this thread use to hit 50+ pages a day and we'd have ITK left, right and centre. That's what I meant re an exciting transfer window.

Still, this is all good and what we've been craving for years.

We are playing it smart this year (and hopefully for years to come) handle the important bits early and then wait for the wealthier teams to overspend on players and then potentially get a star player for cheap. Esssss very smart!

By dull its be organised and targeted as opposed to being the SSN porn star. Get the targets early and integrated into the squad.

There is never an excuse Eastenders style operations.

Football or supposed drama.

Tomorrow is fine, so long as he boards the plane for Aus. The more time he gets to spend settling the better. Getting up to speed on Poch's fitness and tactical demands ahead of the season start is crucial I think, to kick on. Minimal changes, just fine tuning.

For those holding out for an AM, I'd be surprised if that happens, hasn't most of the ITK been suggesting 3 incoming only?? The one caveat to this is, I wasn't expecting Njie to be going, I expected Chadli to make way, but if Njie going to Marseille and Chadli potentially going to Swansea opens up a space????

Few outgoings now, trim the squad down further. Clear a path for some of our more talented youngsters. Think that'll be our lot. An abnormally quiet August and end of the window. Not sure how that's going to feel as a perennial 'end of transfer window, SC refresher', but ultimately I think it'll be a good thing in terms of starting the season settled and organised. While others are bedding in multiple new signings, whilst still looking for last minute additions, and getting used to new systems, we should be functioning like a machine.

Piecing together all the itk we've had, I say we will now only replace for players we sell. We have the depth we want, and will only add another piece if we get an offer for an "unwanted" and can bring in a replacement that would improve the squad.

From windy on Coys:

Apparently Pritchard wants to leave but the club are holding out for a sizeable fee which is putting clubs off.

Surely we're all fans of football. And not human resources processes, which essentially is what transfers are!

Marcus Edwards may take that space that Njie & Chadli departing would open.
