Farewell Clinton, I'll always remember that time you did that thing and sort of passed it forward to a team mate and stuff. Legend and warrior.

I fear Nkoudou may go the same way though I see more in him than I did in Njie so I hope he stays and is given more game time. And he's funny on twitter innit.

Is this the 'crescendo' building? Wonder if a few deals are closer than we've been led to believe, with this spate of outgoings...
Makes more sense with preseason beginning for all clubs.
I really doubt further outgoings, unless we get a good offer for others

Would Kevin Keegan love it, love it if we got one of those "that escaleted quickly" deals like Stambouli or Son now.

Feel like we're tryna get everyone out before we bring in...so frustrating to watch and wait with the way we do deals

Everton have a game plan in place after spending upwards of £150m. They are targeting a place inside the top 6 (maybe even top 4) right now. One of the more obvious targets would have been us.

We are moving to Wembley for a year and our spending was always going to be limited. I don't blame them for trying to disrupt our start even if they have conceded Barkley will eventually be our player

They can disrupt however they want. None of their signing would displace anyone from our first XI or 14. They do have a EL campaign to play and have to replace a 25 goal striker.
As for as Barkley - it would be good to get him quick, but if it will be in August, not the end of the world for us

I'd rather keep our equivalents of Barkley and lukaku, Kane and ali, than have 90 m for replacements.

im surprised levy didnt have pereira tied up before letting walker go.

i mean with all that haggling and "hes hard to negotiate with" stuff going on cant believe he left himself short like this
But JJ says Pereira is an option. Meaning there are other options available that are presumably a higher on the wish list.

Perhaps Sissoko will be included in the Barkley deal at an inflated nominal value so Everton can claim they got close to their asking price and had the beating of DL?

Seems we're effectively clearing the decks. Sissoko, Nkoudou, Wimmer & Janssen (the latter three depending on recruitment) still to go. We'll need to be stronger this season, for sure. Can't afford dodgy spells or bad runs, not if we want to challenge, and challenge is what we're going to need to do if we don't want several of our big names knocking on Levy's door next summer asking for moves away so that they can "win things". That top six is going to be fiercely competitive this season. Man United look more lean, more potent, Man City are in the process of rebuilding their defence to go with their awesome attack, Chelsea have bolstered an already impressive squad, the Gooners have made a couple of astute signings with possibly more to come & Liverpool are seemingly looking to spend a few bob as well. Everton, I imagine will improve with the money from Lukaku & Barkley. We can't be caught standing still.
