A guardian journo was talking alot of Ill informed crap about spurs this morning so seeing them write and twist a story like this is of no surprise.

And confirm we are Utd's feeder club, the thought fills me with dread. I just don't think Luka will force the issue, will stay this year to see how we do and depending on that will decide to stay or go after euro 2012.

I remember a Guardian journo building up a 'massive' Spurs story about to break any second now via his Twitter towards the end of the Jan 2011 transfer window. Would we be signing Aguero, would Rossi have put pen to paper at Spurs Lodge?! No, when the chump did drop the bomb, it turned out to be that Inter Milan were interested in buying Gareth Bale. No concrete bid, mind - but they were interested. Never have so few jaws hit the ground as a result of such journalistic brilliance.

In short, IMO the Guardian have about as many inside sources at Spurs as I do.

Like Mr Pink said, Modric can't be sold. There is no one player who is likely to be offered to us that we actually need. Ok we don't need Modric but it's still highly important that we keep him if we want to keep moving forward and not go back any steps in terms of our teams progression.

If we're talking player swaps we'd surely have to talk about trading a player of similar quality.

Bomber, you have to remember, at the start of the window he gave an intervierw where he said he knew big clubs wanted him but he is happy where he is and believes he can fulfill his footballing ambitions at WHL. You have to remember the stories of Levy, Lodder's agent and the president of Dinamo having dinner and then strolling along the banks of the river, in Zagreb talking about future plans, ambitions and cooperation - so Luka is probably privvy to Dan Levy secrets most of us couldn't imagine omg: an alien taskforce is on the way to obliterate the Scumerates ). You have to remember we have forged a special relationship with Dinamo, much like the ones with Inter, etc., and how they are working on the regeneration of the area and how mcuh things like this mean to Modders. You have to remember that he has already spoken through his proxy (Charlie Corluka) stating that he is happy to stay, but will be watchig our incoming transfer activity this window to see that our ambition matches his own.

The die has been cast: good players in and qualifying for the CL could see him happy at the Lane for years to come.
