Young would be a decent buy for us I reckon, good cover for VDV as well as Lennon/Bale. Would start a lot.

A bit overrated now after his England performance IMO, but has been in the top assists charts constantly over the last few years and has been fairly consistent. The fact that his contract is nearly up more than makes up for the amount he is overrated by.

Yeh. Don't think we stand a chance though. Knows he won't get in ahead of Bale

Yeah I agree, if Liverpool have had a bid accepted for only £14m and we haven't made a bid to compete then there is something seriously wrong and we must want Liverpool to jump above us in the table as well next season.

Why? He's hardly better than what we already have in his position

In fairness Liverpool can't afford both A. Young and Lennon. If Young is 14 million then Lennon is twice that.

£14m for an English winger from an English club in the same league isn't a bad price and he can play both LM & RM. He would be very useful and looking at other linked players in Marin and Altintop if he is going for that price then it is a good price.

Sturridge will not be going anywhere. Anelka and Drogba are more likely to leave than Sturridge. He was out on loan so he could continue to develop. He's very highly rated at Chelsea, and rightly so.

Couldn't we send them Dean Sturridge and hope they get confused or summit (Maybe Ghastly could shoot one of them)

When did he find the time to become a full time coach to children. Since when were children the same as premiership footballers?

Somehow I think that if you were stuck ina lift with Steve Jobs you'd be trying to convince him why your banana was better than his apple.

TBH Az, and this really nothing about my personal predilictions as I have never been part of the Beckham-fest, but among young folk (in particular) there is a bit of a cult of Becks. I really could see some real talent in their teens now literally creaming themselves at the thought of being trained/mentored/whatevered by Becks (and myabe a glimpse of the Stick Insect if they are wearing infra red glasses). I think that's the point he is trying to make.
