Has there been any change to itk (back in mid May) that we would have £150k to spend on new players plus some money from player sales. I'm confused.

So what you're saying is that you disagree with Pochettino, in that getting new signings integrated into the first team during pre-season brings zero benefit.

You are well within your rights to do so, I get shot down for disagreeing with him. But just pointing out that Pochettino has been quoted saying it's important to get players in for pre-season.
Yeah, not just any players for the sake of it. That's how we used to do business, every year, we'd virtually have a new team and we were constantly in transition, we were crying out for stability. We have that. We buy players that fit our style and ethic. We don't need wholesale changes, we need a couple of additions. But even so, our current team is still going to challenge for top 3 or 4.

From what we hear from ITK's, Levy is fully supporting Poch. Maybe it really is Poch that puts the breaks on pursuing a deal if it gets ridiculous with the fee? Who knows.

Didn't that pretty much get us top 4 last year? And the year before that? Yes, Dembele is ageing but in acknowledging that, Winks is also maturing so the wet behind the ears thing feels a little out of place. So we have the midfield that got the CM's that got us top 4 the past few years, with less injuries (hopefully) now that Winks is back and now adding a talent in Grealish (who seems all but done according to ITK).
If you're asking for a strong looking long term midfielder... is that as well as Winks and Grealish?

Personally I think that Dembele always being subbed last season (he got substituted 17 times throughout the season and either missed or was on thenbench10 times as well) makes me think his time to move on is begrudgingly now (although I'd much rather keep him as a squad player and have Sissoko be the one that moves on ahead of him, that's for certain!)

Grealish is unproven at this level and Winks only started 5 premier League matches for us last season. 2 of which ended in defeat (he also hasn't played a Premier League game for us in 2018 and in his short career so far has had two long term injuries, a bit risky to rely on him at this early stage of his growth if you ask me, a think this season is a bridge too far and he should be in rotation with another with Grealish trying to stake his claim)

I think we'll start the season with Dembele, Winks, Grealish & Sissoko as our midfield options but if it was up to me I'd be looking to have Grealish & Winks competing with one other and look to move a Dembele who was only fit enough to complete 90 minutes 11 times for us last year who has one year left of his contract & or Sissoko who simply isn't good enough on to challenge for a starting spot on and a place on the bench.

If it was up to me I'd get another promising body in to make up the numbers as say my goodbyes to Sissoko. A midfield of Winks, Grealish, one of NDombele, De Jong, Rabiot, Gomes or Haidara & Dembele would be a realistic and achievable improvement on a declining Mousa, a half season fit Winks and a not good enough Sissoko from last year. It'll give us better, flexible options and the correct amount of depth for a team who should be targeting 2nd place, a Cup win and the semi finals of the Champions League next year as their targets for a hugely successful season
