I suspect he/club had an option to extend after x number of games and was a simple choice, more money and club protects their investment.

Anyone else annoyed we dont have poch with his arm around him pics, didnt get one with KWP yesterday either

I have no issue with De Ligt's talent but I think we'll massively lack experience at the back should we directly replace Toby with him.

With Sanchez, De Ligt, and Foyth we'd have three of the best young CB talents in world football, and we'd still have Vertonghen marshaling the back line. That defense could prove to be a bit more error-prone than the Toby/Vertonghen partnership in the short term but in time we'd be setting ourselves up to have potentially one of the best back lines in Europe.

We do have Jan though and Sanchez has booked a complete season in England. I think DeLigt is well beyond his years as well. I think it would be a good swap for the money due to age and injury tendencies of Toby.

Don't think it will be that much of a problem in back 3.Watch the Netherland vs Portugal game and you'll realize this kid can easily Boss this league.

Lovely stuff. Seems strange to think that at the end of Sanchez' new deal, he'll still only be 27 years old and coming into his prime.

Really pleased for the lad, quite a feat to move to the Prem and perform to the standard he has to help us secure 3rd spot. 21 years of age. Wow!

Add to this KWP, whom I am really pleased hasn't been cast aside and hopefully will feature more, it appears he's still in Poch's plans.

Marvellous.
